As a whole, I doubt they're getting worse. Calling strikes and balls is probably more difficult as the average fastball is considerably faster than it was 20-30 years ago.

And what the hell are your guys doing getting ejected from games that are far from over two nights in a row.
I think you also need to allow for the very real possibility that both guys were wrong.

The Espn ticker keeps saying "pujols/bryant headline derby"
Is bryant really a headliner outside of Cubs fans? It seems like prince or someone else's name would make more sense.

I expect bryant got picked up for a lot of fantasy teams. He' had that controversy about the call up. I'd say his name is out there pretty good. Also the picture promo will drive the ladies wild. Sparkles.

I asked why he was watching the ESPN feed, so it matters quite a bit since local feed is different than ESPN. It literally answered the question.
