Dammit! That's right. I should have said "division".

Oh well, lost opportunity.

UCF plays Stanford and Pitt next year. If they win their bowl game and go undefeated next year, they need to be given a shot.

I have no problem with conference titles getting you a spot in a certain level of bowl

But if I’m the rose bowl, do I really HAVE to take Washington? Wouldn’t it be so much fun to be able to go after a SEC/B12 team instead? Would infuse a ton more interest in bowl games

Yeah, an UGA/OSU Rose Bowl would be awesome.

I think the Rose Bowl is fine and that’s what they want

To me I’d have mandatory tie ins. If they’re not in CFP they get Champ

Cotton Big XII
Sugar SEC
Rose PAC/B1G
Fiesta At Large since it’s not a traditional
Orange ACC
Peach AAC
Holiday MWC
Liberty CUSA
Ford Credit MAC
Tangerine Sun Belt

The rest of bowls make your own matchups. And let’s go have fun.

What’s the benefit of mandatory tie ins to you?

Seems to me the matchups easily get stale

Sugar SEC

Sugar is Big 12/SEC now.

It gives you a definite goal

Using this years results some prospective Bowl teams would be

Cotton Texas
Sugar Georgia
Orange Pitt/Syracuse
Fiesta Wazzu vs Michigan
Rose UW/tOSU
Liberty UAB
Tangerine Appalachian St
Holiday Fresno
Ford Credit NIU

People would love to see Wazzu Michigan Fiesta and Texas LSU Cotton

The CFP would be stand alone games.

if the AAC gets Peach, then the Mountain West deserves Fiesta... CUSA should have the Bahamas Bowl, and the Sun Belt either the game in Montgomery or Mobile.

You know the Holiday was the traditional MWC bowl right? That’s why I’d assign it to them

yeah but it's not one of the NY6 and the MWC deserves a spot at one of those

Rose bowl wants Pac12 Big 10 matchups. They have no interest in an SEC or Big 12 team unless it is a playoff.

It's a prestige thing with the rose bowl and those 2 leagues.

The Peach bowl to me is not a big bowl even though they paid people to be. They followed the Fiestas model in 86/87

The CUSA and Liberty is a natural match. As is the Peach and AAC

I loved the Wild West days of backroom deals for bowls.

The Peach Bowl was a huge non BCS bowl before the playoff era. They sold out the stadium every single year and generated big time ratings on New year's Eve in primetime. Very few bowls can say that.

I know they became huge as last game of year when in Dome. But when in Fulton County it wasn’t. When CBS had its rights it wasn’t a big game.

It’s a newer age big game.

CBS would have the Peach and Sun Bowl games on same day.

The Gator was a bigger game until the SEC and Dome got involved. ABC would broadcast the Gator on prime time weekdays.

How are they still finalizing stuff for the NY6 games?

There's literally one decision to make. Send Michigan to Atlanta or to Glendale.

Jesus christ, could they drag this on for any longer? If you say you're going to reveal the bowl selections at 3, do it tat 3.
