I don’t think it was that.
He was aware of what was about to happen and did something.
Which was sorta throwing it forward a bit as he got hit.
That didn't seem like a “jarred” ball to me.

Watched it again and it’s a fumble.
It actually got knocked out before the hit. As the defender brought his arms up to make the tackle he knocked it out a bit and then it was dislodged fully on the hit.
