So far I'm 3-0 (3 units), all picks were the LSU games.
This week I like:
Tenn +8.5 (1)
OU -3 (2)
Stanford -10 (1)
Toledo +20 (1) .... DAMN toledo shot itself in the foot too many times
WVU +1 (3)
Auburn +3.5 (2)

I just can't understand this. Have you guys watched a Boise State game in, oh the last 4 years?!?
Posted on 9/16/11 at 2:30 pm to okietiger
I think Boise will win by a margin in the 20s. Hence the reason why I am betting them at -20 and Toledo in my teaser at +31
Posted on 9/16/11 at 2:33 pm to okietiger
20 is a lot to cover on the road and Toledo has some athletes. They werent run off the field against much greater competition in OSU.
Boise also might be a bit full of themselves after their big win at UGA.

Boise always crushes the non-BCS teams.
However, that being said, SVP and Russillo both picked Toledo +20 a few minutes ago on ESPN radio.
SVP is currently 3-6-1
RR is currently 5-5

I think Toledo is probably just as high on themselves about almost beating OSU as Boise is about killing UGA. Boise (has to) plays for style points, they're probably fixing to curb stomp them.

for those who want action on the other friday night game i just finished capping it...
Iowa st +4 - nice offense coming off big win, UCONN terrible on offense but solid up front on d.. the game screams close contest imo so i put Iowa st in a tease and getting +10
Game is @ UCONN

I assume Iowa State was looking ahead to the Iowa game when they beat Northern Iowa 20-19 in Week 1?
Posted on 9/16/11 at 3:16 pm to TigerTatorTots
I'm pretty sure if I did that on BetUS they'd find me in a ditch on the east side of Houston on Sunday morning.

I may add them in my 10 pt teaser

i would say that combined with being young in the skilled positions on offense.. takes a couple of games to get settled in
here is some info
Steele Jantz (great name) had his coming out party last weekend against Iowa. Jantz threw four touchdown passes without throwing an interception. Six different Iowa State players had at least three receptions in last week’s win. The Cyclones offense is young, but they do have some talent to work with. Shontrell Johnson is a solid tailback who should get better as the season moves along. While they don’t usually get much attention, it should be mentioned that Iowa State has a tremendous punter. Kirby Van Der Kamp is averaging 51.3 yards per punt so far this season.
The Iowa State defense appears to be much better than they were in 2010. The defensive front still could use a little bit of work, but the secondary has been very good so far this season. Paul Rhodes is a defensive-minded coach, and I expect this unit to be pretty good this year.
The UConn Huskies have some real problems on the offensive side of the ball this year. Jordan Todman was a beast in the backfield for this team, but he is in the NFL now. The team couldn’t find a quality quarterback last year, and they still haven’t found one yet this year. Johnny McEntee has seen the majority of the playing time under center, but he has thrown three interceptions and zero touchdowns. Vanderbilt’s defense isn’t bad, but there is no excuse for the Huskies only picking up 193 yards of total offense last week. Lyle McCombs appears to be a solid runner, but the team must establish some form of a passing game.
The Huskies should be able to keep them in most games this year. UConn scored two touchdowns last weekend, and they were both defensive scores. The defensive front for UConn is one of the biggest in the Big East, and they shouldn’t be pushed around by many people this year. If UConn is going to be competitive, the defense will need to be very good.
*in bold - no fricking offensive TD's against Vandy!!
game should stay close

Is nobody touching Michigan State +5.5?
Posted on 9/16/11 at 4:16 pm to LSUJuice
I like Michigan State +5.5. ND turns the ball over and when was the last time Sparty lost by 5pts or more against the Irish??
