My biggest near miss was a race at OTB a while back. It was my last bet of the day and I was short a few bucks for a full box trifecta. So I picked one horse to come in first and boxed 2nd and 3rd. The horse I picked in 1st led nearly the entire race and came in 3rd by a head to the two horses I boxed for 2nd/3rd. The trifecta would have paid out 17K.

It was a friday night I was out, my phone had died. Didn't see it until I got home and checked the computer. I have this name for a reason.

Michigan -28 or 29 against Eastern Michigan should be money.
Texas Tech over New Mexico now at -21, opened on -19.
Thoughts? Those are two of the worst teams they can play.

We played them 2 years ago and I couldn't believe how bad they were. Again, I know that was 2 years ago but they beat Alabama St 14 to 7 and I'd assume Michigan has a better D than them. This is the kind of game Shoelace runs for about 500 yards in the first half.

I still don't know how good this Tennessee offense is right now.
In Bray's 8 starts, they are 6-2, but the teams they have beaten are: Ole Miss, Vandy, Kentucky, Montana, Cincinnati and Georgia.
Lost to the two teams that were good: South Carolina and UNC.

Ok, here is what I read from post to post, from site to site....
Short rest teams lose ATS against rested teams.
Q:myth or reality ? Answer: Myth !
5 days of rest home teams are 24-8 ATS since 1998 against teams with 8-18 days of rest.
Toledo will have a letdown after that game at ohio state.

Toledo is 19-5 ATS at home after a dog loss.
Toledo is 30-12 ATS last 42 home after a loss
Toledo is thrash, their game at OHST was fluke.

Posting now at 20 but cam prob get 21 at kickoff. Will also bite on Toledo team total over and game total later on. Expect at least 21 from Toledo. Can Boise score 40+? Yes. But I doubt they will. Def could at least get a split on the spread and game total wagers if Toledo gets 21+. As I posted yesterday Toledo has great team speed and will surprise some people tonight I believe. Public doesn't want to beileve that Toledo has a decent squad and they are driving the line up.
Just my opinion. Vegas gets their $ back tonight plus some.

I gave some consideration to a $5 parlay with a Toledo upset, but I'm not convinced that Toledo is actually all that good as much as I am convinced that OSU just doesn't have it this year. I took the over and WVU in a parlay though.
ETA: I say this without having watched the OSU/Tol game, which is the main reason I can't convince myself to bet on them.
