I agree, but they definitely had a huge wake up call with the OSU game and I think they will be ready to play.

How do u know that's a wake up call? Coming in to your big instate rivalry for a BCS birth and absolutely laying an egg and looking like you didn't care to be there is a wake up call???

While this may be true, I don't agree that it has anything to do with THIS year.

It kinda does considering it shows that their coaches are good at preparing their guys for big games and don't get down when they aren't in a huge bowl

Tebow...Nice Win last night! You were dead on!

Against my better judgement i went with 2h over and got my money back.

What do you think about Miss St later today. Seems like a very popular pick.

Thanks man! I just knew that d was so bad that points would stack up

Im on record for loving miss st play as probably a top 5 game of the year for me. Miss st should run for 250+. Wake has terrible run D. If u just do statistical research it seems really easy for miss st and miss st played against best defenses in the country

You have to think about this 3 of moo st's losses this year were to top 6 BCS teams (LSU bama arky)

He's alittle quick reasoning I wrote yesterday about this game:

quote:

1) sec 2) miss st played well in bowl last year 3) Mullen better coach by far 4) vandy pounded wake 5) wake sucks 6) rumor is wakes best receiver will be out due to cheating on final 7) sec ( will never take an acc of sec ever) 8) miss st bigger faster stronger There's more I can't think of right now

What is your reasoning on this?

1st and foremost- The most important factor in capping bowl games is motivation. Iowa is thrilled to be in any bowl, OU is a perennial powerhouse who is probably embarrassed that they even have to play in the Insight Bowl. That factor alone makes Iowa the strong lean.

Add in the fact that the OU coach is terrible at preparing for bowl games.

Iowa only has 1 bad loss; to Minnesota. Loss to Iowa St (another bowl team who beat OSU) was in OT. Penn St's defense alone beat Iowa (at Penn St). The other two losses were against ranked opponents.

quote:

I know Iowa is happier to be at the Insight bowl, but OU knows they need to blow out Iowa to salvage this season.
This is where we disagree. Oklahoma has nothing to salvage from this season, it is over and I can bet not too many of those future NFL players on that team care much about the Insight bowl

But tots, gettin bent over and railed by okie st was a wake up call!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think a win in the insight bowl salvages a season for the preseason #1 haha

I'm really liking Iowa right now for tonight but I already have Oklahoma in a teaser at -4. Think it's worth going with iowa and hoping for the middle. I have one unit on the teaser.

I'm staying away from Rutgers/Iowa St due to strange money coming in. Likely going to play Miss St, definitely on Iowa and hoping to get +14.

I got Iowa at +14 so im happy with it. It's a small bet for fun.

I'd love for OU to go blow them out (like I said I'm an OU fan) but I don't see it happening

You are right, I'm sure they really don't care at all if they win or lose.

They were preseason #1 suppose to be playing for a crystal ball and instead they are in the fricking insight bowl. Watch that OU okie st game and tell me you honestly think OU cared. They flat out waved the white flag 5 mins into the game. What makes you think they would do that against a rival and not I random team in a shite bowl game?

I'm sure they want to win but do they really play this like it's a BCS game?? No

Do they really need to play perfectly to beat Iowa by 14? No

I think you're confusing last year's Oklahoma with this year's Oklahoma.

No they don't but like I said. Jones 0tds 5 int in the last 3 games an now lost another top WR.

I've given many reasons as to why Iowa is the side to be on you haven't given any

I'm not saying that OU won't go out and win I just think there is a better chance of them not covering the spread then them covering the spread. Pick your side and root for it

Like I said its my smallest bet so I don't care but you will lose money consistantly if you just blindly take over hyped teams that are double digit favorites all the time
