Please name what year or years you are speaking of. They never got close to beating a West Monroe, Ruston, Evangel, etc.

2006...Catholic was better than Acadiana that year, had Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year-Jason Peters, and completely dominated all opponents that year. They would have beaten Sulphur in state had they gone

explain to me how, with all the soccer talent there is running around CHS, that coach weiner didn't have a placekicker ?? in that acadiana game if he had a kicker he would have won .. had to go for a TD late when just a FG would have gotten it done ..

yeah the kicking game was our ONLY WEAKNESS
but we dominated opponents all year. In the playoffs CHS dominated their first three games with a combined score of 96-34 before Acadiana

Consider it the "Weiner Rule". He won't let a soccer player dress out just to kick. He'll only let kids play that go through the whole football system. At his age, the chance of getting that much talent on a team again is slim. I'm sure he's got MAJOR regrets and 2006 will have him turning in his grave.

2006 team had 16 players that signed to play D-1 football (eight from Class of 2007 and eight from Class of 2008). It included the current starting D-ends for LA Tech (Broha) and GA Tech (Peters) and skill players at places like Stanford and N. Mexico St.

That score is a little misleading. We toyed with the Barbe, Holy Cross, Ruston, and Acadiana for the 1st halfs of all those games? Why? We did have a crucial suspension on the D line for the first two games for some of the dumbest shite in the world, but other than that, Ill never know but we turned it up to another gear in the second half in all those games and it caught up with us in the Acadiana game. Barbe, HC, and Ruston were quality opponents though.

We were down 10-7 or 10-0 at half against barbe, We were up maybe like 14-7 against HC, down 3-0 against Ruston, and were down 18-3 against Acadiana..

We never though felt like the game was out of reach tho

18, two graduates from the 2009 class played had a role on that squad.

There were times when I was amazed at how talented yet how humble we were. Great squad, better people. There was alot of elite talent, but the guys that werent elite talent were very very good high school football players

Our kicker was making 35-45 yards in warm ups, God is my witness.

The killer in that game was going for it on 4th and 10 on their 40 yard line at the end of the 2nd quarter. One of the biggest WTF calls ive seen. We didnt convert. This team had a kid with 50-55 yard range (i think he signed with tulane this past recruiting class),and he hit like a 47 yarder before half. Take away that FG..we win 18-17.

Yeah we kinda were a second half team throughout the playoffs, but that's no excuse when ur in the semifinals at someone's home stadium. That 2006 Bears team should have been a NO DOUBT state title team

U know i was amazed at how well Acadiana's defense played in the first half against our next-to-unstoppable offense. I mean I thought we had it all but they made plays on the opposing side I guess.

Also in 2007, can't believe we got shutout by Dutchtown in the playoffs with Lewis, Harrell, and Todd Lee. Just unbelievable but good defensive play by both teams

We slept thru the first half..but give them credit their D line played really well and allowed Journet to run free and wreck havoc.

Dont get it twist we made some plays on D too. We had some stupid arse penalities too though.

This is absolute fact.

In 2006, one of the soccer players was drilling 40 yarders in full pads the first week of school, but Weiner told him the only way he'd play is if he was at every practice, every day, for every minute. This means the kid would have to quit select soccer.

I will give you baseball and track as being impressive. As far as the others go, who gives a frick? Many 5A schools don't have wrestling or cross country.

won't happen

At least it won't happen as long as Catholic has to play West Monroe in the playoffs. Catholic had their shot several years ago when WM was in the other side of the bracket and got beat out.

This is what I had to do at my high school.

There are roughly the same amount of schools with track teams as wrestling teams in 5A
