That's what makes it a compelling rivalry, no team is always winning, the victories have been alternated to an extent in the series. When the 2 best teams in Baton Rouge play, good things happen.

I will say I'm glad they play.

When I played, it was St. Amant (locally) and Jesuit.

Either way, CHS has the upper hand and that makes me glad lol

That's not the point but Parkview does play John Curtis in football and might have played Evangel at a point but I don't recall when

Maybe when Catholic High gets to play Rayville and Loranger in the playoffs they won't be considered "chokers" anymore.

Idk for a team with Jesse Daigle, Kevin Franklin, Warrick Dunn, Travis Minor, Major Applewhite, Donnie Jones, Doug Planchard, Chris Williams, Jason Peters, Zack Oliver, Derrius Guice(all players that played at DI major schools), etc throughout the years they sure left a lot of state championships on the table. I know, I was a freshman for that 2006 CHS team and that was one of the best high school teams I've ever seen and they choke a potential state championship away inexplicably in the state semis. My point is you can make a strong argument that Catholic is the flagship football program of Baton Rouge, but you can also make a strong similar argument in favor of Parkview that's all I'm expressing. Catholic has lost to this 3A school some in actual regular season football games, so the myth that Catholic is this insurmountable Baton Rouge high school football force has been dismantled if not outright disproven based off those games. Still the top 2 program in the city but y'all get my overall point.

You graduated in '09?

Puts you around 25 or 26.

Makes sense.

I'm just saying that winning a 3A state title is like winning an NCAA Division II National Championship.

Ha there was a time when 1a and 2a Werner tougher to win than any other class

We would have won a state title if he was there from 2002-2007. Definitely had the QBs to do it, and we were great in the trenches too.

That wide open spread was so feast or famine.

We're talking about CHS-NI. Piggy backing off of CHS-BR's win.
