Damn was hoping for "None of it counts" the Pete Carroll story. Underrated fact- Carroll credits his success in Seattle to the lessons he learned managing a payroll at USC.

Why if I told you "the best team in the land" had 1 title in 9 years.

They have two.
2003 AP
2004 sole national champion

Oh you mean the one they "earned" because Old Media hadn't yet learned a lesson about SEC superiority?

AP was never obligated. They stayed out. Schools neither. Only the coaches poll was obligated.

What if I told you, LSU fans were still butthurt about USC?

Documentary should be awesome about one of the most fun programs in NCAA in the last couple decades.

And nobody won more than USC from 2000-2010.

actually several teams won more. Boise St, Texas, Oklahoma, and Ohio State all won more games in the decade than did USC.

LSU wasn't the issue in this argument. It was Oklahoma. And I bet both LSU and Oklahoma would have wiped the floor with Michigan also.

yep. that's the thing. yeah, usc kicked the shite out of michigan, but so would lsu and oklahoma. and you're absolutely right. oklahoma was the issue. they got blasted by kansas st and remained ranked #1. lsu wasn't getting beat up by anyone by that point in the season. i don't care who it was. that defense was the real deal.

that's not exactly an answer. this board loves to say USC cheated but it often fails to describe how

did USC play an ineligible player? yes

did USC do anything to make that player ineligible? no

did USC know that an agent/manager were paying his parents hundreds of miles away by getting a house? not likely

now, did USC obstruct the investigation? yes. did bush? certainly. but that was long after they won.

do any schools actually pay players themselves? no
do they let boosters do their dirty work for them? yes
did that happen at USC? yes

keep your head in the sand about that
