Unless something happens to JT he is the starter.

Pretty easy to go back to school after you leave the NFL. An extra year making 1,000,000 or a free 20,000 scholarship?
I agree with you that given his current circumstance he should have declared for the draft. Like I've said before I will never trash a kid for staying in school. There are a lot worse things he could be doing with his life.

Jones did have Barrett beat over the summer, no?

How quickly people forget JT Barrett was having Heisman-like numbers in that Ohio St offense.
My gosh the dude had 34 Passing TDS in like 12 games... and accounted for another 11 rushing TDs giving him accountability for 45 TDs in 12 games.. as a RS Freshman..
That's right.. 45 TDs.. Let that sink in.. and you telling me Barrett isn't the guy?
I am sorry, but I think Cardale got some really bad advice. Plus he's kinda old already and will be what 23, maybe even 24 by the time he is ready to get drafted and hype will have gone down by then if he's a backup.

That's crazy...not saying you are. You may be right. I don't know what's going to happen. But Cardale went 3-0 against Wisky, Bama, and Oregon.

Ohio St won the NC. JT Barrett still puts up better stats in their offense.
I know, hard to believe.. but he does
Jones did what he did against Wisky, Bama and Oregon. If he had played all of the turd teams that Barrett did there is a great chance he would have put up stats that were just as good.

Dude was a third stringer until the end of the year.
Let's pump the brakes a little bit CJ
Glad to see this new- found stardom isn't going to his head

He had a very slow slart against Alabama and was very slow against them. He had what 1 td and 1 bad INT vs them. I believe JT Barrett would have lit Bama up worse given he actually has speed to go with his tremendous passing. Ohio St still whips the shite out of Wisky, look at the score.. it was 59-0? And JT Barrett beats Oregon as well.
I am sorry if I was Ohio St, it's pretty simple who the starting QB still is, but to each their own. Ohio St's rushing attack and defense played the most pivotal part in winning those 3 games.

I for one am very envious of their current QB situation. Have to give Urban a lot of credit for what he's doing there.

He won the game. Bama's pretty good. How did JT Barrett do against VT?
Do I have this right? Cardale will be a Senior and JT will be a Sophomore?

holding a press conference to say you're going back to school, even though you ain't come to play school is the most ridiculous thing ever.
He held the press conference to try to make a point to inner city kids, especially the Cleveland ones. Not sure how you can hate on that. He just impacted more kids in that conference than you will in your entire life.

I don't understand how you can't see Ohio St was rolling along regardless and Barrett was their starter for a reason.. He ran their offense even more efficient. Wisky got blown out 59-0.. JT Barrett would have put up video game stats against them as well.
JT Barrett did have 5 Total TDs against Michigan St.
Jones against Bama was not what was impressive. As I said, early on he struggled mightily.. he was very slow too. There were opportunities to get to the edge and he tried but couldn't. He also only went 1 td and 1 int vs them. Their rushing attack beat Bama, and with Barrett they probably rush for even more.

HE did not beat Bama.. Defense and a great running game did that.. JT could have done just as good if not better.....

I'll say that.
Cardales improv on those 4th downs and rocket arm opened up their offense in a way Barrett wouldn't have

It surprises me people truly believe Jones was that much of a factor beating Bama. Their defense got worked by some shitty QB at Oklahoma a year ago (who couldn't even cut it this season) and their defense would have got worked by JT Barrett as well.
Jones had a very slow slart after the first TD..
Bama's secondary was the weakest link on their D.. and they still got ran all over.. so really there was potential to do even more through the air or via mobile QB.
Cardele Jones was 18 of 35 vs that atrocious secondary of Bama.. That's 51.4% He had 1 passing TD and 1 INT. I am sorry, I truly believe JT Barrett puts up even better stats than that vs Alabama. Ohio St was on an absolute mission regardless. JT Barrett had 1 poor game vs VT early on in the season, it was his first home start.. but since then he went on to put up unreal numbers.. and that would have continued vs a horrible Wisconsin team, an Alabama team who struggles vs their system, and against a soft Oregon team.
Don't get me wrong, those were impressive wins by Cardele Jones and he has tremendous upside, but those were team wins. A freshman was ahead of him on the depth for a reason and Meyer can do enormous wonders with a talent like JT Barrett.

I don't get this.
He'll be the boss on campus this year though.

Only a whore has a press conference saying so.
Next we'll be finding out he's getting divorced due to his new attention.....of course after he gets paid by the nfl is she's smart.
