Anyone going to watch the Alvarez/Smith Middleweight Title Fight tonight.

It is being aired on DAZN, a subscription sports site here in the States that costs $99 a year. I've had it for a couple years now and really enjoy the programming they broadcast with many championship boxing matches, MMA cards, PDC Darts, Snooker, Cricket and Football(Soccer).

They also have a huge archive of past sporting events for viewing. For the cost of a years subscription you get all that as opposed to paying for one PPV card costing damn near the same amount.

Oh, and I pick Alvarez to win, probably by KO between rounds 9-12 even though he's giving away 7 inches in height and reach to Smith.

Don't laugh, BoxRec has Canelo #1 ahead of Tyson Fury at 2 and Errol Spence at 3.

Lots of sites rank Canelo as P4P #1.

Just because you may not agree doesn't make it not so.

GGG dominated some Polish dude last night (knocked him down 4 times I think) for his 24th Middleweight title defense.

He looked like GGG of old.

The announcers were basically saying both last nights fight and Canelo's fight tonight are just tune ups for GGG - Canelo pt. 3.

Guess Canelo wants no part of the likes of Spence or Crawford.

At this point in his career I seriously doubt Canelo can get back down to that weight again. They're Welters and Canelo is fighting Super Middleweight and has ventured in Light Heavy.

He's outgrown that division and even if he could get down to 147 again, he'd be so depleted that it would be a very difficult fight. Look at what happened to Oscar de la Hoya when he got down to welter to fight Pacquaio. He had nothing left in the tank after a few rounds due to the weight drain to make weight.

Callam Smith has a pulse and isn't the usual tomato can. He is in over his head against Canelo, but he can at least be competitive against any non top p4p fighter near his weight. He brings more to the table than washed up Kovalev did in Canelo's last fight.

I'd take Canelo by KO over either

Taking forever with the walk-ons and National Anthems. Hope the fight lasts at least as long as the build up to it.

Is GGG the only below 175 that can back Canelo up? He just walked through the 168 champion.
