Lamar might be the most overrated QB in the NFL today next to Russell Wilson.

However, agent or not, he’s smart enough to know that a franchise QB may be the single most important position in all of sports, and often the toughest to find. I suspect someone is going to give him at or close to his demand

Is he a franchise QB? He isnt accurate and he doesnt go through progressions well at all. His greatest attribute by far is his athleticism which is diminishing by the year and if it’s not there 100%, we’ve just been shown that he will sit out. He has to have the small win window of any franchise QB of all time. He didnt even play in the playoffs or down the stretch for his team this year. I don’t necessarily blame him because the NFL is a business and the players are the product and they should leverage that to milk every dollar they can, Im always for the player getting paid. But if he was actually hurt enough to not play, will he sit next year come playoffs if he has another tweak or strain? His injury risk is extremely high due to his play style, more so than Hurts. I don’t even think theyre comparable, Hurts literally does everything better with the exception of open field rushing which is not that relevant. Jackson should get nowhere near the same amount as the Mahomes, Burrow, Allen tier, and still not be in the Hurts, Herbert tier. I would want Kyler Murray for the next 5-7 years over Jackson and it’s not even close. He’s just not an elite passer
