More impressive than a college team potentially beating an NFL team is the fact that Nick Saban has made the state of Alabama accept a black QB.

This is why I don't read the More Sports Board, because it's garbage.

And the poster, who created this thread. Is garbage.

Haven't y'all actually put more players in the NFL recently?

Alabama's starting roster may be 50% NFL talent (and that's being generous). NFL starting rosters are filled with 100% NFL talent.

Actually, this is not true. A lot of NFL rosters are full off players that aren't NFL caliber. That's why awful teams go 1-15 or 2-14. There's other players that get cut after one season that weren't NFL caliber.

I'm not saying Bama would beat an NFL team. Just pointing out that assuming every single player cashing a check in the NFL is magnitudes better than talent at an Alabama or Ohio State is just wrong. The depth of talent is a lot higher in the NFL.

To make it more interesting: what about Alabama's or Ohio State's 85 man roster vs a bad NFL teams 53 man roster?

They lost to Ohio State they year before in the playoffs and they needed an onside kick to beat Clemson last year in the Championship game.

That's not exactly so much better than EVERYONE else.

More like they should be put in the crappiest division of the CFL.

He was sarcastically mocking the Oklahoma State head coach's rant a few years back.

You would get crushed. The majority of the players on your team won't make it, or won't amount to shite in the pros.

Anyone who thinks Bama could beat any NFL team is sniffing glue. Even the best talent on their team would be NFL rookies.

Hell, they would be below NFL rookies.

That doesn't make it a whole lot more interesting because the only players that would even belong on the field with the NFL team damn sure aren't riding the bench.

Like a poster already said, every future Alabama NFL player would essentially be a rookie in this hypothetical matchup. It wouldn't be close in almost every possible scenario.

I'm also tired of watching them kick the shite out of everybody and run the table, but things don't stay the same forever. Saban will retire or they will get put probation or something. Someone else could emerge like USC used to be. It's all a cycle

I remember before I watched basketball thinking an NBA team could lose to a college team

Lol

No pro team would lose to a college team. Can't think of a college team that would have more than 100 yards on a NFL team. They wouldn't even get blocked half the plays

alabama/osu/any other college team ever would be destroyed by any nfl team ... they have fewer limitations on practice time and the offensive play calling is x100 of bama's/any college team ever ... they could score at will against alabama's defense ...
