So was it racist for Cam to be considered a TE? He averaged over 300 yards in the air last year. He was pretty damn good as a passer.

Yep, Tebow had an amazing cast. So did Leinart.

In track, he broke state records for the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. He ran the 110-meter hurdles in 13.55 seconds, and the 300-meter hurdles in 35.33 seconds. The 300-hurdles time was one-hundredth of a second short of breaking the national high school record. He was also a gold medalist in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles on the AAU track and field circuit. He sprinted 13.46 in the 110-meter hurdles and 49.56 in the 400-meter hurdles as a junior in high school. In 2007, as a junior, he was rated the No. 1 high school 400-meter immediate hurdler in the country, and was tied at No. 1 for the 110-meter sprint hurdler in the nation. Also as a junior, he received the Gatorade Texas Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year award

On the track field, RGIII is definitely faster than Vick. But from what I've seen of RGIII in his career, he doesn't seem to be as instinctive as a runner as Vick. He'll beat guys to the edge and outrun them from time to time but he's not going to be doing those dazzling run/scrambles that you see from Vick and Cam.

Don't let his blackness cloud your vision. I like Luck but I think RG3 is right there with him. The only difference is the style of offense they play

I love it, a guy plays in a spread system, and if I question him... its because he's black.

Wrong.

Spread systems are still designed to make throwing the ball easier at the college level. Cam Newton still has the specs of a traditional QB. I'm not saying RG3 won't succeed, I'm saying its a stupid/lazy argument that anyone who doesn't agree is racist.

If his height/weight are accurate, RG3 is the same size as Aaron Rodgers. Like Rodgers, he has good wheels. Like Rodgers, he's an accurate passer with a strong arm. The question is this: will he land in as good a situation as Rodgers?

You and I both know that is a pretty big if.

There's a chance a better team could grab him in the first and stash him. There's no character concerns, but there is a plethora of NFL-quality QBs in this draft class.

I think so except the fact that he'd have to adjust from a spread to a pro style system

Cam Newton brah. Deal with it.

I just joined this forum because this thread intrigued me as a Baylor fan (and grad). I found this when searching on Griffin info online. I don't think I've slept since we beat OU. lol
The discussion regarding Tebow was interesting especially, so I thought I'd post this...

This was taken before our game with OU. He's obviously there to watch 2 good QB's, but I'm guessing he left really thinking about just one. :)

BTW, I'm a life long Broncos fan, and I really want Tebow to succeed because I also really like him as a person, but if Griffin somehow ended up on the Broncos, I don't think there's much that could make me happier in the football universe!

(Sorry for the size)
