As well as Rip Hamilton and Chauncy
Chauncy
Rip
Melo
Humphries
Lopez
Pretty solid but not much depth. Even though the Nets are 10-27 they are only 5 games out of 8th in the East (5.5 behind 7th). If they do make this deal they could be a tough first round matchup.

Chauncy has said he will not play for the Nets if the trade goes through.

Interesting trade. Doesn't seem like there are any clear winners or losers to me.

The NBA is a superstar league. I think it's a win anytime you can get a top 10 player without giving up a guy like Lopez
However, if Billups doesn't want to play they are fricked with Farmer and Sasha as 2 of their 3 guards

Melo should be patient and try to force something with either the Bulls or Knicks, not the shitty Nets (although they will soon be playing in the nicest arena in the NBA in Brooklyn)

The Pru Center in newark is a great place. Good parking good mass transit but crappy tenants
Devils Nets and Seton Hall

Well, supposedly they tried every which way to work a deal with NYK but Denver just doesn't like the pieces coming back from NYK so I don't think there is any possibility of that.
