This is incredibly sad to hear.
From everything I've read, it sounds like this kid was a good student with a great on-field work ethic. Majored in Public Health, a very desirable field to be in at this point in time.
My thoughts are with his family and the Cal community.

Could have been a pre-existing heart condition, for all you know.
