There are too many TCUs and Boises that would make for much better football.
TCU had 2 BCS opponents OOC and plays in the MWC, which is respectable
that's why TCU is going to a BCS game and has a shot at the title game if UT loses to NU or UF loses tomorrow and beats bama in the SECCG

well I didn't really look it up but was more basing it off of Oregon this year. That and bowl games I guess.

who wouldn't want to see BSU against BYU and TCU every year?
I agree. BSU playing TCU or BYU every year would be great.

pathetic but that's a whole different thread and argument

TCU would not have a shot in a 4-team playoff

wait til the moratorium on jumping conferences expires in a few years, it will happen.

no conference wants BSU
their academics are shite and they're only good in football

you're guessing at that. And until I can see the games played on the field I don't care to hear people's guesses.

UT, Bama, Florida, and Cinci (unless some upsets happen)
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:49 pm to SlowFlowPro
does the mtn west really care about academics? and really the mtn west isn't all that good at anything but football (and they aren't terrible in baseball, but boise doesn't have baseball)

Boise State only gets any love because of the Fiesta Bowl in 2006. That's it. If they lose that game, we wouldn't be hearing so much about them.
Who have they beaten as far as big teams outside of those OU and Oregon? I am talking Top 20 teams.
I don't count what a team does opening weak much because teams are still getting their identity and usually starting new players for the first time.
In the end, let Boise join the MWC or the PAC-10 and see how they do? I assure they won't be undefeated as often because the WAC is horrible!

sick of it. frick money in college football. It's ruining the game
Without money, college football would either 1. Not exist or 2. Be paid for by taxpayers and pardon my french Ms. Marsh, but you can suck my fat hairy balls if you think that tax money should pay for a school's football program.

they're OK in basketball
BSU's only shot is if the pac10 has a miracle addition of BYU/Utah and the MWC wants BSU
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:51 pm to SlowFlowPro
you're saying getting in the playoff?
Either way I think 4 teams isn't enough but I really can't get into this again

I know what you're saying but there's a dirty aspect to the money that I'm sick of.
Players get fricked repeatedly and hardcore.
BCS instead of playoffs because of money.
Cheating SEC this year (maybe)

i still think playoffs = more money than the BCS
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:56 pm to SlowFlowPro
agree to the thousandth degree. I think it would be money on an unprecedented level in American sports.
all the hoopla that surrounds OSU vs USC in sept would be a blip compared to what would happen if that was a national semi final. TV contracts would be absurd.

I think that's the only logical teams for the Pac 10 to add, but after that happens, whats the appeal of the Mountain West?
