you know damn well BSU tries to schedule anyone and everyone.
that's mostly PR
just like Fresno State telling ESPN they tried to schedule LSU when they tried to schedule LSU for a date we didn't have open

They can't be held responsible for merely filling out their schedule.
they could find somebody who wasn't a 1-AA school
quote:
You make Texas play them in Austin, you'll find out real quick how good these teams are.
but not even really. that's still 1 game
BSU is built to be a fast team for a shite conference
they have 180 lb RBs and 165 lb WRs
let's see them play EIGHT games against an SEC schedule

and why BSU gets any sympathy when they played a 1-AA school this year blows my mind

that cannot be the issue.
They can't constantly be held responsible for winning games and then having a weak conference.
When they go out of the conference they still have a lot of success. What are they supposed to do?? You know teams can't just bounce around different conferences.

while usually I'd agree with this but last week's Bama and UF games were UNACCEPTABLE in my mind.
First game of the year? Fine. After that it's bullshite.

i don't think their record vs BCS teams is really that good
they got fricking MURDERED in athens in 2005
like murdered so badly their QB had to undergo psychological counseling for it

legitimately start trying to schedule teams in 1 game series like FSU used to do
they claim they are looking for teams, but their schedules are already filled for like 2-3 years

it's just money maker games
Bama played VT OOC
UF plays FSU OOC every year

lots of teams get murdered by good teams. It isn't a death knell for an entire program.
You know that big schools will not concede anything in scheduling schools like this, because why would they?
If Boise was free last week do you think UF would rather schedule them or Charleston?
Simple.

sick of it. frick money in college football. It's ruining the game

they haven't gone out of their region for OOC since

charleston. that game was a money maker and nothing else
UF knew they were going to be the favs and if they win out, they're in. they needed no statement games
hell BSU could schedule 4 good MWC teams and they'd improve their OOC by about 100 million in most years
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:40 pm to SlowFlowPro
LOL at Boise will play anyone anywhere. They will only play a good team at the start of the season. Most of your big time programs like USC and such will not schedule a team like that early because it is a costly game where you have no clue what kind of team you have. Now you get to schedule them in the middle of conference play. Well Boise wont do that because they are worn down and will get blown out and Peterson knows this. Also, why would a Florida, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, etc schedule them in the middle of their conference play? Thats just dumb. So the only thing they can do is schedule teams who are looking to get a quick jump in the season - Oregon, Georgia, Oregon State, Washington. Hell LSU may be on that list soon.

who wouldn't want to see BSU against BYU and TCU every year?
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:41 pm to SlowFlowPro
Boise returns 19 starters next year, and I believe plays VA Tech, and Oregon ST, if they go undefeated next year it will be hard to keep them out of the BCS, even NCG if they perform well in their bowl game this year, because they would be carrying a hell of a winning streak by that time. If that happens would still say they don't deserve a chance?
Posted on 11/27/09 at 10:42 pm to SlowFlowPro
i would love to see TCU donkey punch them this year.

yep and it's pathetic. If you're the best you shouldn't get 'lay up' games. I hate when LSU plays Tech and other shite schools and I hate it when all big schools do it.
There are too many TCUs and Boises that would make for much better football.

good by me. If you keep out 1-AA teams then I'm fine with it.

No....Loss to Oregon State, Washington, UGA, Oregon State again, Oregon State again, Washington again...
Win vs Oregon twice, Oregon State twice.
4-6 in regular season games since 2003
