So there will be two former Lake Travis QB’s in the Cleveland locker room.

One a two-time Texas State football champion and a Super Bowl winner, the other a one time state winner.

Gilbert graduated in 2008 and Baker graduated in 2013. Former UVA QB Connor Brewer was the man who led the Cavs inbetween them.

The aura of ‘Chosen One’ in that QB locker room will soak the halls of Cleveland’s facility for days to come.

Goes to show you the talent the AAF had. It’s a damn shame that league folded after DECADES of great football

And Drew Brees and Nick Foles both went to Austin Westlake.

Austin has had some major QB talent over the years.

Yup.

Garrett was always the kind of guy who wanted to build something of his own. It was clear when he accepted his role in the AAF that he wanted to build a competitor to the NFL sand he would have likely succeeded had the plug not been pulled.

Not everyone has that kind of alpha mentality.

Never won state. What a loser.

Brees did go 16-0 and I respect him for that.

I actually really like Garrett Gilbert. That dude could have been shellshocked against Alabama in the title game back in 2009. But he didn't.

If he had been on the Tide that night he would have thrown for 450 and 5 TD’s.

He had zero help from his teammates.

Theyre likely going to be a very fun and entertaining team next year. Would you rather have everyone continue fawning over tom brady and belichick?

Man I watched him in high school... was an absolute stud. Always thought he got kinda screwed at UT, and played well in that 09 title game. Hope he does well.

Colt McCoy was the glue that held that squad together.

That defense had some notable names.

not trying hard at all

we have dozens of browns threads on this forum all of a sudden that have never existed.

it's nerds rooting for the constant loser of a team to finally take down the alpha Patriots.
