The browns are a playoff team with the roster they have now. It was coaching ,there offense didn't match skill set at all.

To the Dorsey haters, you do realize that he's the reason they had that roster

There talking about hiring Greg Roman, as head coach. Lol just completely change scheme, identity or whatever you want to call it, every year. That works.

So you’re saying they should’ve stayed with Kitchens then? You’re on record. These moves were necessary. And again, Dorsey quit. The Browns didn’t fire him.

Yeah, not a good move. I'm just saying the guy put some good talent together.

My opinion isn't informed enough to worry about

That it’s 100% justified. Hiring Freddie Kitchens alone is fireable. He traded All Pro RG Kevin Zeitler for Olivia Vernon (who was a total bust). He drafted OL Austin Corbett 32nd overall and then traded him to the Rams (he was that bad). Cleveland’s Oline is one of the worst in the league and he did nothing to address it. He traded DE Genard Avery to the Eagles for scraps. People forget, Dorsey did NOT draft Myles Garrett or Joel Bitonio or Joe Schubert. The previous GM did. He’s responsible for Baker, Landry, OBJ and Ward. None of them lived up to expectations this year. The Browns are completely justified for firing Kitchens and asking Dorsey to split his power.

They have some shiny pieces but I’m not sure if their lines are playoff caliber and Baker tends to go off the rails.

Yes it's official now and you were correct, they agreed to part ways over contract negotiations.

Doesn't that usually mean they just didn't think it would look good for either side to say he was fired

Typically yes, but in this specific case they told him this is how the re-org should look, he disagreed so they said oh well.

I may be late, but I just saw that Matt rhule was targeted and that he turned down the offer to interview for the job.

That damn rhule is a hot name right now.everybody wanted him when he was coming off 1-11 at Baylor last year, as well.
