Quick: Someone please tell me why everyone across the country has Kansas State in the tournament.

if kansas gets past wake in your bracket and plays unc or mizzou in the elite 8, that would be the greatest thing ever.

I wouldn't put a guarantee on Wake getting past West Virginia/Utah State. They are the most vulnerable 2 seed in this bracket, even more so, I think, than Michigan State. They seem to have identity crises at the wrong time, not believing they are actually a good team.

bc they are gonna finish 10-6 and 4th place in the big 12 with like 22 wins before the big 12 tourney. add a win or 2 there, and they are solidly in.
btw, dont get your hopes up for ending that home win streak. it aint happening.

They have identical records with Neraska in the Big 12, and KSU is 2 games up overall over NU, but they have played 2 more games than NU. Tell me how this team deserves to be in this tournament any more than Nebraska does.
It doesn't bother me that no one has Nebraska in the tournament, but it does bother me that they have Kansas State in there when they've done nothing better than Nebraska has.

they are called projections for a reason. nebraska loses 2 or 3 of the next 5 and k state wins 3 or 4 of the next five. if nebraska can beat k state, they could easily be in. but it'll take some time bc today is not gonna help your case as nebraska should lose and k state should win.

K-State could easily drop their next 3 games. Don't forget, Nebraska hammered K-State at home by 22 points. Somehow, home losses aren't impressive anymore I guess..

I agree...don't sleep on K-State's trip to Ames. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them lose that one. They are barely in this bracket. Hardly a lock.

is Maryland back on the bubble now?

What happens to UNC after they lost to Maryland? Is their 1 seed gone?
Posted on 2/21/09 at 5:43 pm to lsubeagle
Theyve still got a 1 seed right now IMO.

But, they better look out for Memphis, Marquette and Louisville.

I LOL at you having Florida as an 11 seed, yet Butler as a 6.

Well, I see it was updated for 2/20, but first off, Xavier just lost.
They were ranked 16th before they lost to charlotte (I think) and thus they will drop a bit.
Dayton is currently ranked 25th in the country and aren't even in the dance at this time.
Now I do realize these are projections, but I see two and maybe even three teams from the A-10 making into the tournament.
Obviously I am hoping temple pulls it off. I have little faith in the team or the coach, but I hope I am wrong.
But I suspect Xavier will make it and either temple or dayton will make it unless both/all three totally collapse at the end of the season.

i dont think LSU is a 4 seed. Probably a 5 or 6 right now. Dayton is probably an 8 or 9 seed.

Wow, I log off for a few hours and the world of basketball goes to shite. Here's my take on the day:
UNC- Still a one seed despite a terrible loss to Maryland. If you look at the teams below the Tar Heels, none can be justified ahead of UNC for a top seed.
UCLA - I don't get these guys. As great as they were against Washington, they were just that assy against Wazzu. Had them as a 4, but you can expect that to drop, especially with teams below them winning.
Notre Dame/Georgetown - I don't care what Assface Gottlieb says, you ain't gettin' in. At least not this week, and not without some Big East tourney wins. Cincy also missed a golden chance to get into the thick of things, but the Big East right now is looking like 7 teams.
St. Mary's - Much like Kotter, welcome back. They will be back in my bracket after a huge win over Utah State, giving them another résumé-building win. Get wins in your last 2 tourney games, get Patty Mills back, and you're gold.

This isn't about RIGHT NOW. It's a projection. I project LSU to finish 14-2/15-1 in SEC and win the SEC tourney. NO way in hell we'd get 29/30 wins and not be a 4.
