Didn't prevent the misogynists from calling the mother " whore", judging her looks ,motives ,etc... The poor, welfare ,government , broken homes ,California ,etc....also took on collateral damage as well.

Which is still patently absurd.

$384,000 a year to support a child?

The average family income in this country is 60k a year, which is apparently enough to support the ENTIRE FAMILY.

$384,000 per year on approximately $36 million in salary.

That’s nothing.

Blake Griffin makes over $32,000 every 8 hours, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

If every single man in the world could negotiate a child support deal that favorable, they’d do it immediately.

Before I say it's absurd or not, I have to see if he plans on being involved in his kid's life. If he is just dumping his kid on her, that's not astronomical to me.

Why should he be penalized for making a lot of money? Why is the child (and mother) legally entitled to share in his wealth?

If Blake goes to Wendy's should they charge him $1,000 for his hamburger, because to him that'd be nothing?

No, because that hamburger isn’t used to a standard of living that Blake Griffin has and can continue to provide for his children.

He is going to be busy from late October through mid-June.

And that's the fundamental problem with "child support"

In the case of rich men, it has nothing to do with supporting the child.

A child should not be legally entitled to share in his father's wealth if the father for some reason doesn't wish to share his wealth with him. Is the father an a-hole in this situation? Maybe. But demanding he share his wealth is simply legalizing morality.

The only things a father should be legally obligated to provide is a basic stipend use to ensure the kid has food, clothing, medical care, and education, because we don't want the tax payer to be on the hook for these things.

It's clear the sane solution is for father's to pay a % of their income up to some reasonable cap.

But that will never happen because nobody feels bad for these rich guys like Blake due to petty jealousy, so who cares if they get screwed!

Rich people should have equal rights too.

Unfortunately rich people will always be the one minority it's perfectly acceptable to hate.

Blake Griffin’s child support agreement is more favorable than 99.9% of support orders, in terms of percentage of income, I’d imagine. I just don’t see how it’s not fair to him.

I want to say you’re wrong. But this is the equivalent of a guy that makes 75k a year paying 625 per month

Which doesn’t happen. That number would probably be closer to double that amount.

well since its 32k/mo which is reasonable for high income earners, his baby mama gets 384k for 13 years and 192k for 4 years.

One kid is 5 and another is 2. Lets not pretend these kids have one fricking clue about reality that is their life. If these kids are 16 & 14 your argument may have more validity, but at this point you offer his kids a ferrari or a dancing potato they take the potato every time.

I'd also bet BG buys them their first cars, pays insurance, carries their medical insurance, pays for college, etc...moving forward

That's plenty of $ for a cleat chaser winning the spermathon twice.

Receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to raise a child is wrong. Not because that is unfair percentage of BG's income (which it is not) - only because it is such a large amount of money that it creates a direct and powerful incentive to create unwanted children for personal profit.
