As opposed to Allen scoring a whopping 6 points against the Urban Jags?

Obv not

But one is better than the other

18 turnovers to 12 as an example

All QBs teams get their shite pushed in. That’s my entire point.

And Burrow had an awful game, just like Allen did Sunday. I have no problem saying it. He was unable to score until his team was down 25-0

Why can't you bring yourself to say Allen had a bad game Sunday?

Because I watched with my eyes both games. When I see a team that can’t block 4 rushers, establish any run game whatsoever, and on the other side of the ball not be abele to stop anything at all, I expect the Qb to be screwed

You thinking Allen or any Qb in history could have made a difference in the result of that game is amazing. Did you not actually watch what was happening? The bills didn’t even guard chase on the first td

Go watch the 2021-22 AFC Championship game again. Joe Burrow’s defense played horrendous in the first half. The score was 21-3 at one point. Joe Burrow’s offensive line was giving up pressure after pressure and several sacks. Did Joe just give up and quit? Or did he find ways to complete passes? Did he find was to run circles in the back field while the defensive line was chasing him only for Burrow to escape and either complete a pass or run for the first down?

I think we know the answer.

Then Joe Burrow must be the most impressive QB you've ever seen. 27th rushing offense in the league, most sacked QB in the league, 7th best scoring offense in the league. Crazy right

Josh Allen led his team to an easy 36 points with 4 td passes and over 350 yards agaisnt that team. Guess he was that much better last year

Joe Burrow had 450 yards and 4 TDs the first time he played that team too

He was sacked 4 times, hit 11. The Bengals couldn't stop the Chiefs offense.

Came back from a 14 point deficit as well. What a baller, right?

So 17 points and 209 yards passing is acceptable but 10 points and 265 yards isn’t

That's a bit disingenuous, now factor in pass attempts, TDs/INTs and that the Bills and Allen were throwing the ball and stat padding the entire 4th quarter. Allen had over 100 yards of those passing in the 4th while down 17.

There's more context to it like 4 of 12 vs 7 of 13 on 3rd downs # of drives/drives ended due to fumbles, etc.

Burrow was basically average, Allen was bad.

I actually think Neither

I don’t think burrow, Allen, or Mahomes ever really play “bad”. They are elite. When you see bad stats from them, IMHO, it’s becasue everything crumbled around them

I don’t think they have games where they have time and open receivers and they are the ones causing the lack of production

Just one man’s opinion

No starting NFL QB plays poorly when they have time to throw and open receivers. What separates the average from the elite is the elite find ways to make plays and win when things break down. But I disagree with you, all QBs, even the best, have bad games.

Allen's biggest problem is turnovers and knowing when and when not to try to make a highlight reel throws and instead settling for the easy throw that keeps the chains moving. He has far superior physical tools than Burrow does. Many of the best and most successful QBs in history didn't have physical tools that jumped off the page.

I just can’t think of a game with the 3 I named where I thought “damn, they are the reason it isn’t working right now”

Sure I saw Mahomes team get crushed by the Bucs, and burrow by the browns, and Allen by the bengals, but I am never once looking at the Qb and thinking “a different Qb would be winning”. I am watching the tv and thinking “for fricks sake give them a chance”

He’s like Hillary Clinton. It was Josh Allen’s turn goshdangit. The Bills had been slowly building towards making/winning a Super Bowl for three years and then all of the sudden Joe Burrow just showed up and in his first full season went to the Super Bowl. In the very next year, with every talking head making predictions (preseason and almost all year long) that this was the Bills year...

And Burrow just humiliated them in their own stadium letting it be know that Joe Mixon tells no lies.

The Bengals are the Big Dawgs in the AFC. The road to the Super Bowl goes through them.

Well I can't help you there. There are plenty of times where an elite player, in any sport, just has a bad day. They make poor decisions, they're off on their throws, miss open guys, etc. It happens to everyone.

Hell go watch Burrow's week 1 game against the Steelers. He managed to come back to give his team a chance to win, but he was flat out bad for most of that game

Eli Apple talks way too much shite for someone who performed the way he has after being the 10th overall pick in the draft.

Four teams in seven seasons.
