Saw Derrick McKey at a Bama Football Game. This probably doesn't qualify.I'm 6'4".He's 6"9",I believe. So we were both looking across the tops of heads.I'm cool and all,so I said "What's up Derrick".

I met Shawn Springs right before Christmas. A very nice guy but I'm still pissed at him about that damned slip against Michigan in 1996 that cost Ohio State a national championship.

MJ and the entire 91 Bulls first championship team when they got back from beating the lakers at the ritz in marina del ray. We were on a family vaca in L.A. I slapped a high five with Dennis Hopson.

MJ was carrying the trophy. It was right after that famous shot of him crying in the locker room with the trophy with his dad. :csb

I met Warrick Dunn once. I also saw Anquan Boldin at an airport. I may, or may not, have followed him there.

Im only 20 but i grew up watching old vcr recordings of the showtime Lakers so hes always been my favorite athlete of all time. I shouted hey magic! And he responded and we spoke for like 5/10 mins. I know cool story brah but it was incredible

My freshman year in high school i was at the UCLA/USC bball games. If you guys remember that was the bruin team with kevin love, Russel westbrook, and darren collison. Truly one if the better teams to not win the tourney. We were sitting 3 rows from the court and UCLA was #1 going into the game. USC was winning with 2 mins left and i remember shouting "dont let these frickers win" and darren collison just looked right at me and nodded his head and led the comeback. While they were walking off the court, he said something to Kevin love and they both just pointed and nodded their head at me. That was pretty awesome as well

I'm going to count the ones I met and actually spent some time with them: 30 minutes - many hours in some cases.

Ali in Japan in the early 70s. Was in a small group (5-10) that spent 30+ minutes with him.

Goose Gossage. Early 70s working out with the Air Force Academy baseball team in the indoor Cadet Field House.

Tiger Woods: On the driving range and golf course at the Air Force Academy in the Canon Cup in 1991

Greg Popovich: When he was a Captain in the Air Force at the Air Force Academy in the early 70s. He kicked my butt playing racquetball.

These are athletes/coaches that I've actually had conversations with.

Clayton Kershaw
Matt Stafford
Boo Weekley
Jeff Van Gundy
Vince Young
Torii Hunter
Nick Van Exel
Shawn Bradley
Zach Johnson
Jason Kidd

Too many others to count that I've just happened to see out somewhere.

Was about three feet away from OJ Simpson at a Kentucky Derby. I turned to my buddy and said we are 3 ft from a murderer.

Walked by him in the tailgating area at a UW game when his son was the backup QB here.

Had a drink at the airport then sat next to Joe Dumars on a flight from DFW to Lake Chuck.

Also met Too Tall Jones at a bar in Addison, TX.

If you're sensing a theme, its that apparently I'm a drunk.
