Big 12(texas10) really was hurt by the moves, in behind the scenes posturing

In November, Big 12 interim Commissioner Chuck Neinas steeled for battle as the conference that was temporarily placed in his hands continued to fracture. His secret weapon would be a legal document that he could "wave around" in a meeting with Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive with the goal of keeping Missouri in the Big 12.
The lawsuit, slated to be filed in Boone County Circuit Court, never came to pass. But the 12-page draft of a petition for injunctive relief was obtained by the Tribune this month. It charged the SEC with illegally enticing Missouri to breach its contractual commitment to the Big 12 — an effort the suit states was "willful, deliberate and in bad faith" and the cause of "irreparable injury to the Big 12 for which money damages is not an adequate remedy."

“Let me remind you that college football is still a regional sport,” Neinas said. “Unless you have a big SEC game, it's not going to rate that well. They have games on the SEC package that aren't going to knock your socks off.”

The big 12 or whatever it is now should thank Texas and the longhorn network for why all this has happened IMO.

The teams left, outside of a few like OU and KU, are the ones who don't have any other options. They (or their fans) are thanking Texas for giving them membership in an AQ conference not named the Big East

They are about to get 20 million a team annually with their new TV deal. I'm sure those teams will do anything for Texas and OU at this point.

On Oct. 24, an anonymous Big 12 administrator told the Austin American-Statesman the conference would be better off with West Virginia than Missouri. The official said, "West Virginia has better football than Missouri, better basketball than Missouri, a better budget than Missouri and more passion among its fans than Missouri. They're better, anyway you turn 'em."

This should stir up some Mizzou fans.

But, seriously frick the B12. It is more dysfunctional than the SWC ever dreamed of being.
No way in hell that conference makes it through another realignment when the SEC and PAC-12 go to 16 teams

Every time I read something like this I think about what Mizzou would do in the Big Least. fricking UCONN won their POS conference last year.

Not reaaly.
It was Deloss Dodds who said it.
Its just a small sample of the bevo BS that goes on in that dysfunctional mess.
Some further exerpts relating to that comment:
quote:
In an email, Oklahoma Athletic Director Joe Castiglione wrote to Holder, "Sad and disgusting someone would say that even out of frustration."
quote:
"Pretty obvious who feels this way," Holder replied. "Not a sentiment shared in Stillwater."
Its just bevo being bevo.

Pretty much. I would really like to see this Conference pull two more major schools into it. That way we can have a Big 12 Championship game back. Other than that though, idgaf about Mizzou or A&M leaving.

You will when your SOS in conference starts hurting your BCS rankings.
The Days of a one loss Big 12 making it in a BCS national championship game are over as well, at least until the +1 is decided upon.

SOS in conference

WVU/TCU > Mizzou/A&M
But disregarding that point, I have full confidence that if my school(Oklahoma) gets the job done in the regular season, they will be rewarded in the Bowls. That probably is only true for us and UT, however.

You cant possibly be that dense.
You do understand the difference between the Big 12 and the Big East and the Mountain West conference...right?
This will be played out clearly this season when both those teams struggle in the Big 12.
Its the comments like that one that make the enitre conference look like scorned women through this entire mess.

How many BCS wins do Mizzou/A&M have combined? TCU/WVU have four.
The same way y'all did pretty much every year?

Are you really this stupid?
BCS Bids coming out of the Big East?
GTFO with that nonsense.
Mizzou would have outright won the Big East 4 or 5 years in a row and thus went to a "BCS" bowl.

SEC poached the Big 12.
The Pac-10 poached the Big 12.
The Big 12 poached the Mountain West and Big East
The kiddy conference table is over there. There's extra napkins to wipe DeLoss Dodds dick snot off your chin

I said "wins" not "bids". It takes a good team to win a BCS game. Mizzou has never even been, so you sound bitter. And moving to the SEC won't make it any easier, obviously.
So have fun getting your shite kicked in every week. Like I said, idgaf about Mizzou/A&M leaving. OU will continue to be a giant program in the college football world with or without you.
