All of these schools have fielded legitimately top-10 teams in the last decade or so: Cincinnati BYU TCU Baylor UCF Houston Oklahoma State

It presents some interesting games especially if they slip into that Friday night time slot often. Gus Vs Mike Gundy. Holgersen vs Gary Patterson again. The coaching matchups are good. Also, Nobody is talking about basketball. This is gonna be super fun in hoops. UH and Cincinnati bring some food programs and major basketball markets into the mix.

ow kids in Ohio who grow up Ohio St fans, but don't get recruited by Ohio St, don't have to leave the state of Ohio and go to Michigan, Michigan St or Penn St to play P5 football.

LOL. A kid not recruited by Ohio State but offered by Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State will now go to Cincinnati. Dream on Buckeye.

Cincinnati is a better program than 90% of the B1G right now. Now they have access to recruiting in Ohio, Texas and Florida...but in a P5 Setting. This will be a big time boost for Cincinnati with Ohio kids. Much the same it will be for kids from Houston and Florida.

Dude. You are seriously delusional or a UC grad who likes Ohio State better or such an Ohio State fan you don't want Ohio kids to go to Penn State, Michigan, or Michigan State contribute to defeating Ohio State.

It's already happening, though.

Penn State doesn't recruit Ohio that hard, and Michigan and Michigan State aren't that attractive any more. UC and actually Kentucky (through Mark Stoops' Ohio connections) have been getting plenty of good Ohio players that used to go Big Ten. Notre Dame has always had a presence too.

Fickel is getting a nice mix of regional and national players to go to Cincinnati.

AP Poll Appearances from 2011 to 2020

ACC: 556
New Big 12: 552

Keep in mind that the ACC added its 13th and 14th teams in 2013. Plus this figure includes 17 appearances by Notre Dame last year

At least 30% of those were one team for the ACC. And probably 20-30% were by 2 other programs
