against Timmy Braken from St. John (Plaquemine) who went to Meeechigan and rode the pine, and Jarvis Ryes from Loureville who went to LSU and did the same. really thought these 2 guys were gonna be good in college, but i guess we were just that bad

Baseball - played against Josh Booty my freshman year. That guy was a man amongst boys. Plus it helped he was 19 years old. He could hit it a mile!

Frazier was particularly gratifying, in that he asked me to scrimmage against him, so he could develop his backcourt skills, when he was making the transition from small forward after his soph year to guard.
high school. Paul Fredrickson LaGrange, Lake Charles, he was a senior when I was a junior. He played hoops two years for Cleveland, ABA.
LaGrange, also had Ralph Knuihuizen who was all state center, his senior year, with whom I played one on one games in his driveway, to SEVENTY, all summer (in the heat of Lake Charles) when he was a soph and I was a junior.
While Ralph garnered all state honors and Paul F didnt, Paul was better, IMO. Ralph was LaGrange valedictorian, went to Rice, played at Rice, and then went to Yale law. Paul made it to the pro's. Blessings to them both.

many posters observe, as I did, that one player or another was the best during high school but another did better in their later years, either college or pro.
Let this be a hopeful sign to us, in the event that LSU does not end up with the same 'quality' as Texas, in the 2010 recruiting.
On the hopeful side, Dandy seems to think Kadron Boone is going to like his LSU visit this weekend and choose LSU.
