Honestly can’t say I disagree with those actually haha, I’d probably give the 2013 Seahawks a lil more credit they did shut down the NFL’s greatest single-season offense ever in the Super Bowl, should receive extra credit just for that

The Seahawks should definitely be over the 2017 Jags.

Crazy how fast that Jag’s defense fell apart. Went from being elite of the elite, to dismantling almost it’s entire squad.

Truly a dominating offensive team and Keyser Soze’d so many opponents to achieve 13-3, just look at their final scores from that season they obliterated the eventual champions in the Dome by 25 points. But for some bad crunch time defensive breakdowns in Candlestick in the Divisional, they probably play the Pats in that Super Bowl.

I agree but would we be saying the same thing if they called the fumble correctly? They would have had to play the Eagles still but a SB changes perspective a lot.

Well the reality is they didn’t win the SB. The Seahawks did. And they didn’t just win, they beat the shite out of a historically great offense.

Yeah much of it was in essentially garbage time, but they still give up a lot of yards and points to that Steelers team in the playoffs. Even in garbage time, the Seahawks D never let that happen.

The Jags also had quite some luck with fumble recoveries. They had an usually high rate of fumble recoveries throughout the regular season. Probably helped their defensive performance in certain games.

The Jags were 2nd in the league in total defense and scoring defense. Not even 20 in rushing defense. The Seahawks were no. 1 in passing, scoring, and total D. All by quite a bit from the no.2 team. They also had a much better performance in the playoffs.

I just don’t see how the Jags are better even with an unlikely SB.

I def have a hard time agreeing with the notion that Jax would’ve defeated the Eagles in a Super Bowl had they held on against NE. Referring to the Football Outsiders’ Browns Worst Team thread, I listed the 2017 Eagles among the teams I’d list for the Best Teams of the Decade, not only were they loaded their depth at QB was great too. They played at an unbeatable level in the playoffs and got the better of one of PFF’s top 2010s Offenses in the Super Bowl. No way Jax beats em.

Pats played 3 of them either AFC champ games or SBs and beat 2 out of 3.

Brady's two best games are the Seattle SB and the beating he took against 2015 Broncos at Mile High and had them within a 2 point conversion.

2011 Saints were the best offense ever. Rules have changed so much that you can't compare them to recent ones like the Chiefs last season. If not Gregg Williams putting bum arse Malcolm Jenkins in man coverage on Vernon Davis at SF, that team wins a second SB in three years easily. Worst loss in franchise history
