This makes sense and it's what I tell all the kids I do baseball lessons with. You can't control it once it leaves your bat (or club) so just focus on putting a good swing on it and trust yourself to hit it well

If you are being slow through the hitting zone it likely means that your lower body is well out in front of your upper body. Try starting with your hips aiming 15 to 20 yards open and make a regular swing.

I bought the Tour Striker Club as seen on TV. Its helped me tremendously on my iron game. It forces you to keep the angle with hands slightly ahead of clubface on impact and hit down on the ball. Great tool best 100 bucks I've ever spent on this crazy game.

Alignment is always a problem for me. Where I think I am lined vs where I actually am. Old shaft helped me a lot. I'll spend ten minutes lining up to different targets at the range and then putting the stick where my feet are actually aimed. Usually 10-20 ft right.

i pick out spots left middle and right on the range and hit to them. because normally you wont have a straight shot all the time into the green.

most ppl just hit straight constantly on the range

Put a club down on the ground point at or just left of the target and practice hitting balls with your routine. Most people should put a club down everytime they hit balls but dont. Make sure you know exactly what the distance is, that helps a lot.

Youtube Bobby Jones how I play golf.
Still used today as the basis for almost every golf instructional.
Best advice I took from it was when using your irons instead of using your back arm for power use your front arm to pull the club through the impact zone and your rear arm as the guide.
