Phi Slamma Jamma - they played us in the PMac on eyear ('83 or '84) but I don't think they ever won a natty.

UNLV easily.
All the opposing coaches wanted them to graduate...saying they were a Pro team masquerading as college players.
And they probably were...
Vegas fixer.
But who cares? Tark got singled out for what everyone has done since the beginning of big time sports.
“If the UCLA teams of the late 1960s and early 1970s and Kentucky teams of the 90s were subjected to the kind of scrutiny Jerry Tarkanian and his players have been, UCLA would probably have to forfeit about eight national championships and be on probation for the next 100 years." - Bill Walton
And they blew out Duke by about 50 points in the Natty and the same exact teams come back the next year and UNLV loses by two points in one of the strangest lackadaisical endings to a National Championship game...with UNLV running no offense the last two minutes. Yeah, they threw that game. Everyone knows it. UNLV was favored huge and wise guys had bought the program.

UNLV didn’t lose to Duke in the ‘91 title game. They played in the semis. Duke bear Kansas for the title.
That ‘90 UNLV team was dominant, and it was a sign of how much talent LSU had and wasted because LSU beat UNLV in the PMAC on Super Bowl Sunday in January 1990.

I didn’t start watching until early
2000’s also. This might be the best team I’ve seen. Not saying best ever, just best that I’ve seen...
