Who are your top 5 centers that don't have "temper tantrum" issues?
Last I checked, Deandre Jordan, Dwight Howard, and Boogie all have these issues. Hell, even Shaq had issues at times.

Come on, man.
Andre Drummond
Tim Duncan
Marc Gasol
Pau Gasol
Al Jefferson
DeAndre Jordan
Al Horford
Greg Monroe

The MSB, as a whole, loves to crown people WAY too early in their careers. Everyone I listed above has at least a relatively lengthy period of sustained excellence in the league. Its not difficult to understand. If Hassan Whiteside wants to be one of the best centers in the NBA, he has to take the next step by logging more minutes per game, and show that he can play well for extended periods of time. This isn't brain surgery. And yes, this means more than 42 starts. For a comparison, Andre Drummond has 184 career starts.
This reminds me very much of my 'debates' with FloridaTigah, regarding Michael-Carter Williams when he won ROY. I kept on saying that I wasn't sold on him, and that he had to do it for longer for me to consider him a solid player (I personally think Oladipo got robbed). He kept telling me I was wrong and selling him short, etc. Fast forward 3 years later for MCW, and you can make a strong argument that his career has plateaued, and possibly regressed.
I'm not crowning Whiteside. Not yet. Next year, he can turn into a beast. Or, he can be the next Larry Sanders. You can crown him if you choose.
And by the way, where did all of these lifelong Miami Heat fans come from?

How many games does KAT have to play before he makes your elite list?
21/12/6 tonight btw. He also shoots 90% from the stripe

Like you crowning Drummond as the best Center after 11 games of his newfound success ?
At least be consistent.
and not a Heat fan, just an NBA fan. Anyone can watch Whiteside and tell this is who he is. He has nice post moves, a good touch around the rim. He's tenacious on the boards and is a great shot block. You should watch him play some time.
Larry Sander was never this good. Ever.

MCW had big nights his rookie year too.
Just sayin.

Towns is going to sit atop the best center list in the very near future. Anyone that uses MCW's career arc as some sort of relevant data point for KAT can be immediately ignored.

First, link? You are pulling stuff out of thin air now.
Second, he has started 4 times the number of games in his career than Hassan Whiteside (he's 4 years younger than Whiteside, BTW).
Third, the man is averaging 19 and 19 a night.

Towns made 20yr 3 days ago.
MCW played his whole rookie season as a 22 yr old.
They aren't comparable. This is not a fluke.

And he's never played this good. It's only 11 games. He needs to play a full season like this before anyone considers him the best C in the league.
did i get that right?

Perhaps you are right.

This is a bunch of logical fallacies rolled into one. And revisionist history.
In MCWs first career game (vs. Miami), he had 22 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds...and 9 steals!!!!

Show the link where I say Andre is the best center in the NBA.

a few posts up you were asked your top 5 centers without a temper tantrum, and you had Drummond listed first.
how do you stretch facts such as their age?
Towns has played this season as a 19yr old. Most 19yr olds dont get on the court, but the ones that have & have had success in NBA history are some all time greats.

The order of that list meant nothing baw.
Grasping at thin air.
I have never said Drummond is the best center in the NBA. Find me the link.

So Towns 'good nights' are better than the ones MCW had his rookie year? That's precious. The man played on the 76ers and had no help! He almost had a quadruple-double the first game of his NBA career!
The MSB sometimes...

That's cool. NBA superstar Hassan Whiteside had 4 points and 6 rebounds in his first game this season.

A one game sample size?
It was patently obvious what kind of player Williams would be long before he stepped into the league; pre-draft scouting reports consistently trashed his shooting efficiency, P&R ineptitude, and inability to limit TOs. He shot sub 40% in college averaging under 3 3PA/game. He's a career 40% shooter in the NBA + totes one of the worst ast/TO efficiency ratings out of qualified PGs. MCW's cumulative career offensive WS is -2.9
Towns is an entirely different type of talent.
