But that said, the Bengals have a total salary of $221M this year. That's 19th in the league, and means they have about $57M in cap space.

According Spirtrac they have $6 million in cap space. Their total cap is 258 million. Joe’s cap hit goes up 14 million next year.

Trey Hendrickson will be in his last year of his contract next year. They can’t keep Higgins and Trey. You have t keep your All Pro DE over a #2 WR. Sign Chase and Trey. Let Huggins walk.

Since you a Chiefs fan, the Chiefs found a creative way to structure Pat's contract to make it a very team friendly deal. I think he received stock with the Royals and his wife gained stock in KC soccer team as a part of his contract.

Yes Mahomes has a small ownership in the Royals but it wasn't part of his contract with the Chiefs. Bengals just have to keep restructuring his deal every couple of years to convert money to a bonus. I think that's what teams do. Even doing that it's still tougher to manage the cap when your QB makes a ton. Obviously guys like Burrow are worth it, just gotta draft well so many of your players are on cheap rookie deals.

I know it wasn't part of his contract, but the Chiefs facilitated that deal with KC and the soccer team. I guarantee me and you couldn't get that deal.

So lame. They could have any HC they want yet they keep Taylor.

It’s the Bengals. They will mess it up. They could destroy a steel ball bearing

Of course we couldn't but I don't think the Chiefs facilitated it. The Chiefs and Royals ownership don't really like each other. They never say anything bad but the Hunt's have wanted to push the Royals off the site they share for years. They want to control and develop the site and surrounding area for commercial business. Mahomes has a small stake in the Royals simply because it's good PR for the Royals. Pretty similar to why Aaron Rodgers has a 1% stake in the Milwaukee Bucks. Reds would be wise to do the same for Burrow.

That's what I was thinking the Bengals can help facilitate something similar.
