Remember it was Shedeur Sanders that poked him in the eyes earlier in the game. Slamming Shedeur to the ground was pay back. Of course the announcers never bring up Shedeur's dirty play.

It’d be stupid to call him a dirty player because that wasn’t a dirty play. It’s a flag and an ejection under the modern rules, but it’s just a football play.
Dirty players do things they know are illegal and are not natural football plays - like stomping on a player. The reason it’s stupid for targeting to be an ejection is because it’s a natural football play.
