Its not fair that other conference champions have to play a tough 13th game on a neutral site to win the championship and other conferences DO NOT. Pretty damn simple

Also, equally unfair that some conferences have every team play each other, while other conferences teams get to avoid other teams.

i just don't like some conferences not having a conference championship.

Despite the fact that this has helped LSU and the SEC in general repeatedly?

The SEC was the one who wanted to do that for monitary reasons. That's their issue. Nobody forced the SEC teams to agree to play a 13th game

True. So, true.

Whats your excuse for the Pac 10 not growing a set and go play a damn conference championship? Big 10 too. Afterall, its so lucrative for the conference....

There should be consistency in the conferences.

but its huge for some top 10 teams to have to play a 13th game on a neutral field against a very good opponent and others don't.
And thank goodness they do.

If it's hurting the Pac-10's chances in BCS games, which it might be considering how much it has helped the SEC, why is it unfair that the Pac-10 uses a different system?

I think the reason a lot of people hate the Pac10's system is soley because of a power like USC. Looking at these last three years, USC didn't make the title game because of the round robin system. USC missed out because they underestimated opponents and fricked up. The only legit loss they've had in three years was Oregon last year, and that loss didn't even really matter if they had beaten Stanford. If USC ever just plays with intensity all season long (or just like a handful of teams have this year) then they're almost guaranteed a spot in the title game.

However, regardless of what format you throw at the Pac-10, USC will always have that easy opportunity to make it. People who want them to play a title game aren't going to be satisfied if they do. Look at this year for instance. If USC plays a title game, they'll play the north winner (Oregon or OSU?). Either way, they do nothing but make themselves look better. If it's OSU, they kill them and avenge their loss. If it's Oregon, they kill them and now say that they've embarrassed the north's team twice in a year (like OU over Mizzou last year). No format will change the fact that USC is going to continue to dominate a weak conference. The strength, or lack there of, of the Pac-10 is where people's real beef lies, not the format.

Someone gets it. having a beef with the format is off base. The problem is Cal, Oregon, and ASU not stepping up and offering a consistant challenger and the Washington schools falling into irrelevance. USC has been penalized for it in a big way this year

No shite. This is fricking America. We can't force conference championship games down anybody's throats. Conferences are their own entities and have every right to crown their champion however the frick they want. And if they don't want a conference championship, they will have to suffer the consequences(less revenue and no final opportunity to catapult into the NCG).

And LSU fans complaining about it is the biggest fricking joke of all. LSU would have all of zero national championships this decade if it weren't for the SECCG. It's a benefit, not a burden. And if you don't think it's fair, you're a fricking count.
