what does that have to do with anything PJ?

Even if Bama wins out and beats AU I don't think they will pass Boise. IF the SEC EAST had a highly ranked team that Bama could beat in the SECCG, Then they may pass Boise. But that will not be the case.

if the human rankings are UO, BSU, and Bama, i'm supremely confident that UO and Bama will be in the title game

So if Auburn was 9-3 and the SEC East winner was 11-1 they'd pass Boise? That makes no sense. What division the higher ranked team is in does not matter, especially to the computers.

They will be pass Boise in the computers. Will that be enough if they are #4 in the human polls? We'll see.

especially since Boise will be behind UO, Bama, 1-loss Auburn, and potentially a slew of Big10 and Big12 teams

ETA: in the computers

In the human polls? Yeah, but I don't think they will form that wedge. I think Bama is at worst 3rd behind the chosen team

the humans will make the choice. they will know where the teams have to be ranked

a split in the human polls may also be enough

i hate auburn more. i'd hate to see them get the talent bump from winning it all

however, AU is basically just a lucky program b/c newton landed in their lap. they will be mediocre when he leaves

Thas not what I said. The SEC EAST is pathetic. A Bama win with one loss over a 3 loss South Carolina team is of NO help to Bama.

At that time It won't matter. Boise will be to far ahead. IMO. And If AU somehow losses before the Bama game. There is no way Bama would pass Boise. Is Bama the better team??? SURE. But .................

Not me, guess that's agenerational thing, its miserable when Bama dominates. But if a talent bump for AU comes at Bama's expense, or even UF's that's all the more reason for me to root for them.

LSU is still ahead of Boise in the Sagarin poll today

1. Missouri
2. Michigan State
3. Auburn
4. Wisconsin
5. Oklahoma
6. Oregon
7. TCU
8. LSU
9. Ohio State
10. Stanford
11. Boise State

You have to think BSU will only continue to drop as they play teams like LaTech

No one is disagreeing that the SEC is pathetic, it is. But that does not matter and that is what you are saying if you'd think about it for a second. You are saying they need to beat a better team in the SEC CG, so beating a 11-1, then a 9-3 doesn't help, but beating an 9-3 then and 11-1 would. That makes no sense at all.

if they blow out the only team that beat them, yes that would help them. Beating an 8-4 UGA wouldn't, but that doesn't matter if AU is unbeaten when they play and the LSU Ark winner finishes with 2 losses and the loser 3.

come on PJ, do you have any clue how the system works? How can Boise be too far a head? Its not a race. The highest they go is 1 more spot in the polls. Right now they are 2, Bama is 6. Bama plays 1 team that is between them right now. If both keep winning, the gap in will not get bigger.
