They are locks

Only one spot is open and that’s for USC and likely OSU

LSU/USC comparison is just stupid.

Ohio State best two wins will be ranked ahead of Bama's best win.
That was not the case at all in the USC/LSU comp.

Nope, that comparison shows how much the committee respects the SEC.

Also your second statement is false. Texas will be ranked above Notre Dame.

OSU played Notre Dame AT HOME
Alabama played Texas AT Texas

No matter how much you guys don't like the facts, those are the facts and beating Texas away from home is far more impressive then beating Notre Dame at home first game of the year with a new coach and a team needing to gel and find an identity.

Sorry the SEC conference is respected. Hey maybe if the B1G had more than 3 teams they could get a second team into a playoff.

really hope Bama somehow backs in. Watching that idiot go on TV and try to explain the committee's decision would be solid gold.

Easy explanation.

You can't get blown out at home as a season finale and expect those optics shouldn't hurt you.

Which is why Georgia would be #1. They'd justify that by saying something about LSU being a tougher opponent.
If LSU hadn't lost to 8&4feit you’d be correct.

Now the SECCG doesn’t have enough luster to put Georgia over Michigan. Unless Georgia skulldrags LSU as badly as Michigan did you on your own field.

First, I don't think Ohio State deserves to be in the p[layoffs.

That said, LSU had a worse loss at home (season finale doesn't matter) and was ranked #5. Tennessee got skull fricked by an unranked team and was still #10. The committee doesn't seem to care if it was a bad loss. A loss seems to be just that in their eyes.

Oh, for sure. Keep changing it up and tweaking it to force Bama in.

You're working under the assumption that this matters. They're going to do what they always do, which is to set the matchups they want and then figure out how to explain it.

I wish there was a way for us to be matched up in a bowl game.

I’ve been watching the committee do this since they started doing it. They’re fairly predictable.

Correct. And if they continue to be predictable, Bama has no chance of sliding in.

TCU should be a lock but I'd love to see the committee put Ohio State in over them and hear them justify it.

Alabama is simply a better team than Ohio state. That’s a fact.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a bigger "playoff" and we could sort that out on the field instead of putting out our personal views as facts?

Wow. A lot of Alabama haters on this board. I like them, along with lsu, auburn, Florida, and Tennessee. I just like good college football, which is what you get with the sec.
