The win today reminds me of OU’s win over Bama in NOLA a few years ago with Trevor Knight. Bama didn’t give a frick and half assed it.
That game was an AJ showcase and complete 180 from what that football team was about.

shite was so weird.

Wait are you going to tell me that's not an unfair advantage and/or it's no big deal?

Uh duh

Exactly. Uh duh. It's not this pure, perfect system you're presenting it as. Too bad your melt prevents you from seeing that.

quote:

It's the same numbers based system as conferences in college are based on.

Wtf are you talking about? Who is talking about college conferences? A team with a losing record can and has made the NFL playoffs. The current college system would not allow that to happen. You and your fellow meltees are arguing for a system that would make that possible.

quote:

And yet it's never going to change and will stay set in stone.

Because the NFL playoff system has never changed since its inception, right?

quote:

Dude, Just a few short years ago, College football changed pretty radically and is always under constant pressure and that will be even bigger now thanks to Bama backdooring again.

Again, I'm sorry to disappoint you but you and your fellow meltees crying about Alabama on tigerdroppings aren't constant pressure or anything close to it. Come back tomorrow and post links to all the newspaper headlines saying Alabama shouldn't be in the playoffs this year.

If you had been throwing this bitch fit last year after Ohio st got destroyed by Clemson then yea, maybe. But you're not. You're whining about Alabama this year because you don't like Alabama.

quote:

the people who have votes in the polls.

So like I said, the people that matter support the current system.

quote:

We literally had an illegitimate champion in USC in 2003 thanks to some BS polls.

good lord dude, your melt is completely out of control. Who were the teams in the cfb playoff in 2003?

quote:

Actually the electoral college is enshrined in the constitution as the Supreme law of the land. What backdoor enablers support is an arbitrary electoral college that changes constantly based on style points and having ugly losses. That's not something I will ever support.

I have more news for you. The law of the land as it stands todaybin college football says a committee will select 4 teams to be in the cfb playoff. You're whining about the committee's decision this year because they picked a team you don't like. Who is the backdoor enabler again here?

quote:

You can't support Bama backdooring into the CFP without backdooring in the conference title game.

The cfb playoff /= the sec championship game. So yes, I can do that very easily. The sec championship game is the winner of the SEC east against the winner of the SEC west. The cfb playoff is the 4 teams the committee selects to be in the field.

quote:

But you just can't ignore math I guess.

I don't have to ignore math, I just need to have common sense. You know, like not repeatedly saying Ohio st was the big 10 east champion in 2016.

I'm going to tell you that there is literally a zero percent chance that teams lose on purpose in order to make the playoff

Worse than that, we get NFL week 17 in CFB.

They can win the two CFP games by 70 points for all I care and it still doesn't make their resume any better.

I'm sure Alabama will be devasted to know that sentrius the melting msb poster won't recognize them as national champions if they win next week.

we're getting to a point where teams may consider taking a strategic loss to get an extra week of rest and still make the playoff after seeing Bama do it twice now.

this is the melt that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend.

I wish.

Jalen might be able to move the ball through the air in the NFL.

That kid could use some damn PI and defense holding.

The team won't be care, but y'all will spend the next decade trying to convince us that it's a legitimate championship.

He's a Denard Robinson "talent." Maybe Jacksonville will try him out at receiver.

Will that be more or less than the amount of time that you melt about a team that lost by 30 points to an unranked team not being selected for the playoffs?

Shut up.

11-1 Alabama just isn't good enough. We need to move to an NFL system so all the best teams make make the playoff.

I mean at least they have a chance to actually win the games. USC is still celebrating that AP ship from 2003.

I'm not the one trying to convince people of the legitimacy of our season.

I don't see the issue, at least not while the Gumps claim 2012.

Always.

If the Browns make the playoff next year ( ), should we stop making fun of them? Ever?

My arguments have been to oppose Bama, not promote Ohio State.
