Awesome. I'm assuming these are all in non-eventful moments, right? That's my argument.
Everyone celebrates a win.
Miami celebrates a layup. That's my point.
By the way, it hurt them tonight. Wade and Lebron doing their little tango right in front of the mavs bench, only to immediately be dominated for 7 minutes.

Because a little dance in front of the Mav's bench got them riled up enough to make shots in game two of the NBA Finals.

You can't seriously believe that affected the outcome?
Why did the Mavs only turn it on in the final 7 minutes? you'd think with all that Miami celebrating they would have gotten angry and done something about it earlier in the game, OR in game 1 for that matter.
You think that made the Mavs try harder? You think if they hadn't done that, the Mavs wouldn't have been as motivated to win game 2 of the NBA Finals?
I'd love to here the logic behind this one.

Exactly.
Like that was the motivation they needed, not like going down 0-2 was a motivating factor at all.

I'm simply going off of what Terry and Chandler said post game.

Joakim Noah =/= a whole team.

Guys always say that.
They say lots of stuff that is silly.
After Haslem had that breakout game, Coach Spo said he knew to put him in so early because he saw the fire in his eyes. Honestly, who believes in that type of stuff? He put him in cause the Heat were in early foul trouble lol.
As for this, like I said, the Mavs didn't try any harder than they would have if it didn't happen, so I don't see how one can say it hurt the Heat.

Dallas is getting punked out. Wade just stood in front of the Mavs bench with his hand up for 3 extra seconds. Total eff you move.

Wade's Eff You 3 in front of Dallas' bench put Miami up 88-73 (7:14 left). Dallas went on a 20-2 run right after. Think he woke 'em up?

I hear ya.
If you ask Terry or whoever else said it if they wouldn't have tried as hard if it didn't happen, I think we'd get the answer to the debate here.

It might not have effected effort at all, but i think it could have helped with focus.

Mavs Comeback Spurred By Heat Gloating
I still ain't buying it JA.
And DWade makes a solid point:
Now THIS I agree with, as evidenced by half the posts on the MSB:
But this is just laughable IMO:

And DWade makes a solid point:
quote:
Wade had a point when he said every team in the league does something to commemorate a hot run, and he would have been within bounds to say that the guy who took the greatest offense, Terry, can be one of the primary offenders when he does his "jet" move after hitting a shot, sometimes even his first shot of the game
Now THIS I agree with, as evidenced by half the posts on the MSB:
quote:
But the Heat should know by now that they're held to a different standard, viewed differently, liable to be criticized for every move they make.
Where the Heat have gone wrong since the moment -- and method by which -- James joined them was to fail to comprehend the way their actions would be interpreted. What might have seemed like a good way to raise funds for charity, or a rallying opportunity for an excited fan base have come across as an insensitive breakup on national TV, followed by a self-indulgent party.
But this is just laughable IMO:
quote:
What Wade didn't take into account during those few seconds of celebration in the corner in the fourth quarter wound up preventing him from celebrating in the locker room after the game.

It could have. Mentality is a strange thing. Look at how Terry/Dirk chase them off after the whistle. Anger can increase focus when channeled properly at all levels of athletics.

Actually, in the heat of the moment, they were thinking about LeBron's lame dance. Not going down 0-2 as reiterated by thr Mavs players in the post-game presser.

I agree with OP. The Heat do a lot of celebrating on not-so-amazing-or-as-important-plays. My buddy commented during one of the time outs that it seemed like Wade shrugged LeBron off from trying to celebrate with him earlier in the second half. Wade acts like he's been there before (which he has) for the most part.
I can't believe you "rational" people haven't brought up Deshawn Stevenson. He celebrates like no other fairly mediocre player in the league right now.

By holding up a 3 to his eye?
By the way, they talked about this on The Sporting News radio this morning on my way in...specifically what I brought up. That team celebrates throughout the game. And I quote, "Do you remember anyone acting like that in 1984? They need to start playing like they've been there before and save the celebrating for the end of the game instead of a big play in the 1st half." Something along those lines.
