I gotta root for Tiz the Law, one of my school friends is in the group of owners.
It’s rather perfect, he’s a funny guy and used to sit behind me in study hall doing the calls of races as in ‘they’re off, and in the lead...’ all the time. This was 30 years ago, some things never change.

None are opting out, but rumor has it the horses are gonna come out to warm up without their jockeys and trainers, wearing 'Santa Anita Thoroughbreds Matter' twists, in a show of support for their Cali turfers.

While most of the field is meh, there are a few standouts. I can’t wait to see tiz take on older. I know it’s wishful thinking but I’d love to see him back as a 4 year old

Havent watched a NBA or MLB game yet but thanks for asking. I love horse racing but just not excited for the KY derby. Will watch it but not real excited.

I will watch but the 17 post is not an easy post to win from.

Kind of helps handicap the race a bit to make it more fair. Since we rarely weight handicap like we should these days in actual handicaps.
I could be making this up but I think that’s done some with Standardbreds.

Aspy, you have any races you like on the card? Any hot tips from a friend?

I’m sort of out of the loop these days as far as insider knowledge goes, but it’s for the best
I’ll have to look more at the undercard later. I Like mckracken’s little sister in the 8 belles but she’s not worth a bet.

Honor AP is going to steal this one away. Also like NY Traffic. Money Moves is an interesting horse for trifectas and supers

small note, the derby is actually the last race this year and is about an hour later than it was last may. we may get a dusk/dark finish under the lights
