This particular "anybody" is having an MVP caliber season including:

1st in NL (2nd in MLB) in OPS at 1.006
1st in NL (2nd in MLB) in SLG at .619
6th in NL (8th in MLB) in OBP at .387

1st in NL (1st in MLB) in HR at 43
1st in NL (1st in MLB) in RBI at 107 (16 more than the next guy)
3rd in NL (4th in MLB) in Runs at 95
3rd in NL (3rd in MLB) in BB

This is true for everyone hitting. They all have cut their strikeouts down. That's why just throwing to any of them is just playing with dynamite. And as good as Olson is, Ronald Acuna is still the MVP of the NL. This group's hitting is one for the ages.

Yeah, b/c the guy leading all of baseball in homers and the NL in RBI is a "bad contract."

Jesus Christ.

ETA: He's gonna finish top-3 in the MVP voting most likely.
