When this team gets off of a hot streak they don't just tread water for a couple of weeks until getting hot again. They completely tank.

Yeah Chip and Joe, Giants putting the ball in play instead of striking out is helping them so much they're only 5 games behind us. Almost like Ks have no effect on wins and losses.

You can argue all day long against the brick wall, I remember quite distinctly getting shutout by the Giants and having about 14 K's in a playoff game.
We've been through this before, strikeouts for a pitcher don't make as much as a difference because you can still give up runs. When you're on offense and you strike out 14 times in a game, that's 14 times the ball wasn't put in play, when you add to that the struggles with RISP..............well you get what we have. Runs aren't going to score by themselves, especially in the postseason against better pitching.
I've been around the block, I've seen it.
