Odorizzi has only made it past the 4th inning once in his 4 starts this month. We're 1-3 in those games.

10 BB to 14 K, 7.88 ERA.

As things stand now, he would start the second to last game of the season in Miami, but Snit and AA need to be fired on the spot if they put him out on the mound while we still have something to play for.

I'm too busy trying to figure out how to get Jake Odorizzi deported.

Awesome, last year was fun.

Has absolutely nothing to do with what is happening right now.

In the past, it didn't really matter if you won the wild card or the division... it's so much different now. I don't think people understand what's at stake. If we're in the wild card series, we're playing 2 or 3 extra games, and our prize for getting out of that is not having our pitching lined up to face the Dodgers.

We have to win the division if we want to have a realistic shot.

Today was a really bad day in terms of accomplishing that

I agree with you. Though I don't think that not winning the division means we don't have a realistic shot. A team as talented as the Braves always has a realistic shot, whether it works out or not. But it is clearly much harder to do it without winning the division in this dumb format.

The division is still there for the taking, but this is the second time in a week we've choked against the Nationals. There's no way our lineup should go silent yet again against such a bad team. It's infuriating how little they seem to be able to stand prosperity, while these horrible teams keep beating up on the Mets all month.
