Stroddah vs Frick

Due to blackout, been listening to the Rangers announcers “circling this game on the calendar” for three days because of the pitching matchup between Strider and Nate “Cy Young” Uvalde.

Top 2 has been satisfying thus far.

83 pitches in 4.2 IP is not ideal.

It’s been disheartening seeing that they are taking the leash off of him and he’s still unable to go deep into games. Not a viable candidate until he can show that capability in Gwinnett

How is that not ideal? That paces for 6 innings. Not sure why anyone wouldn't be encouraged by this start.

83 pitches thru 4.2 is not ideal at all, especially against AAA hitting.

What on earth is your argument?

Braves have made 5 straight outs since you made this thread.

Fix the damn title

He's still getting stretched out. AA said on the radio a couple of days ago that they just wanna see consistency from Soroka before they call him up.

He'll be up before too long. But he just needs to keep.making incremental progress each start. No need to rush him and when he's called up he stays up.

Maybe I should delete the mother fricker since there was none when we got the lead.

Okay, why is that not ideal? He didn't give up a hit after the first inning.

These fricking Rangers announcers are insufferable.

Was thinking today about our injured starting pitcher situation and how it might play out as the season continues. I don’t think we have a real problem just yet. So long as the offense can back up the rotation we have now. Max, Kyle and Mike should all come back at some point. That’s a full stable with Spencer, Charlie and co. The three of them shouldn’t suffer from the fatigue of when the season is coming to a close like any pitcher would going the full stretch of a season. We could have the timing just right for the playoffs if a little luck goes our way. Idk maybe that’s just the optimistic way to look at it.

It’s scary that you can count on more than one hand the amount of AB’s where Riley looks at strikes and swings at balls

They're clearly trying to limit his innings based on pitch counts and giving him extra days of rest between starts. That makes some sense because they've got to build his arm strength back to survive a whole season. AA told 680 that when they bring Soroka up, he isn't going to be put on the Gwinnett shuttle.

I have no problem with the 85 pitch limit. I have a problem that he has yet to get thru 5 innings this season
