The Dodgers know the Braves can't win in Dodger Stadium, the Braves know they can't win in Dodger Stadium, and the Dodgers know that the Braves know they can't win in Dodger Stadium.
I hope that’s not the case, but it is a real phenomenon.

It's just like all of those years of Georgia/Florida games when years of losing took a psychological toll. There were a lot of years that Georgia took better teams to Jacksonville but were down 14-0 before the game even started. That's how it feels when the Braves go to Dodger Stadium.
You’re a Georgia fan, so I get why you went with that analogy, and I remember it. Same thing happened with Bama and LSU after the ‘11 NC game. LSU should have beaten them in ‘12 and ‘14, but once that doubt started creeping in, it was over. Happens with Bama and most teams, including Georgia in that NCG. And that psychological element works both ways. The team that thinks they can win starts pressing and making bad plays, while the team that knows they can win stays calm and can keep their level of play high and more mistake-free.
And I think a ton of that is on the manager’s/coach’s demeanors. Players look to them, and if they look like they’re shitting themselves, the players will too. You remember how Tom Herman used to look like at the end of close games, all biting his fingernails and looking like he was about to cry? His players saw that and acted accordingly. I think Snit’s laid back, calm demeanor will help today.
But does this team have any vocal leaders that are capable of and respected enough to give a little pregame speech? Or a postgame one last night? Not sure who it’d be. I don’t think Ronnie was a “rah rah” guy, but besides just his production, we could really use his energy tonight. But we don’t have it, so again, frick it, and let’s ride.

Listen, if not for the hard times, how you appreciate the brief, fleeting, meaningless moments of exhilaration right before the hard times set in again?

So you were spared the pain of 1996, 1997, and 1998. Lucky you.

However, the only thing the announcers will ever focus on is the one favorable call Joc got against Buehler.

All three games Dodgers have had +.5 or more given to them from the umps. Manfred don’t wanna come to Atlanta

frick the Dodgers and frick Manfred.
Can the Braves just be the team to put a 10 spot on the board in the first inning and have a chill game for once? Is that too much to ask?

This is the kind of series you use all your energy to win and get your arse kicked in the next round because the tank is empty.

was the same with les miles and his losing streak to saban. shite turned into being beaten psychologically before you took the field.
we had the win last night. confidence woulda soared. now they may have doubts playing there.

That’s an extra run for the Dodgers if you combine the past 2 games. I know the umpires would never go for it, nor would the MLBPA likely because it would negatively affect the great pitchers that can gradually move their spots out or in to where they’re getting an extra 4-5 inches off the black on both sides (like Maddux and Glavine), but it’s time to take the umpires off balls and strikes. The tech has been there. And there’s too much at stake to not take advantage of it. It needs to be consistent. And if we can deal with the shift and starting a runner on 2nd in extra innings, we can adjust to K Zones calling balls and strikes.

a young punk. LOL. no wonder you do not have PTSD like us. you were spared disappointment in 82 NLCS albeit we did not choke we were swept. 83 regular season where the fricking dodgers beat us out for division. then the pain of being worst or second to worst in the division every fricking year after that until 1991 when we went from worst to first in division.
then you were spared the heartache and pain of blowing and choking away 19991 WS. the pain of blowing and choking away the 1996 WS. the disappointment in NLCS in 97 and 98. and the blowout sweep to the yankees in 99 WS which i can deal with because they were better team and we did not choke. nor did we choke in 92 WS. jays were just better team.
you did experience our choke tho in 2019 NLDS to cards and NLCS last year tho i take it.
yeah yeah no wonder you had those shitty takes yesterday then we blew it again after you posted.
