Olson is now 8/50 when hitting with runners in scoring position. He has 22 K in those AB's.

He's 3/20 wRISP in 2 out situations with 8 K.

Olson: .206/.353/.477 17 RBI in 107 AB

I was wrong about Olson. Not as good as I expected him to be. He seems to have regressed from his Oakland years somehow.

Uncle Jesse is a marvel out of the bullpen. I don't know how he does it.

.830 OPS for Olson during a period when he hasn’t been locked in and Ozuna with a nearly .900 OPS over a 30 game sample. Both great signs.

I think him hitting in the 2 hole is fricking up his approach and it really magnifies his deficiencies as a hitter (strikeouts).

It's like we put him there because that's where Freddie used to be, but we can't seem to comprehend that they are two completely different hitters. It's unfair to Matt, who should be hitting 4th or 5th.

Olson barely hitting above the mendoza line out of the 2-hole the last 30 games is not a great sign.

Sorry.

2 former bArves closers getting their 400th save each for the first time in 162 years of baseball in the span on a few weeks is the most bArves thing to happen

With Will Smith retiring us in order in between.

Mets are up 4-1 and can cut our lead to 4.5.

They've been playing really well since those 2 comeback wins over the Rays to take the series.

I had one in the Reading Terminal Market about 5-6 years ago that was as good as any of them.

I would probably go Acuña, Murphy, Riley, Olson, Ozuna.

If Riley and Ozuna have both actually figured it out that’s gigantic for this team. Ronnie, Olson, Murphy have clearly been the 3 best hitters so far so I understand why they’ve been hitting 1/2/3. Arcia has been very good at the bottom of the order but the BABIP is going to regress at some point. Still a very valuable player.

Quietly Riley and Olson both OPSing over 1.000 last 10 games coming into tonight’s game.

I know people never want to criticize Acuna, for whatever reason, but watching him dogging it on the final play of the game, with the third baseman bobbling the ball, is just the latest edition of Ronald pouting because he's not hit well for a few games.

When he's going well, he's springing out of the box, hustling everything out, and just sniffing base hits on anything he has a chance to beat out. When he's off for just a little bit, he starts slumping his shoulders, visibly pouting, and doesn't run hard on almost any ground balls. I've seen him beat out balls on very similar plays to the last one in this game. If he's busting it out of the box (which he absolutely should be, on the final play), I think he's safe. At the very least it would have been very close.

That grinds my gears, and no one ever calls him out on it, because he's the golden boy. I'm far less critical of players who struggle than I am of those who don't hustle, especially in situations where there is no excuse not to.
