What year did LeBron quit on his team in the playoffs against the Celtics?

Not sure Kobe was ever the best player. Anyway Lebron has been the best player on the planet since 07

No. Just no.
Lebron did not league in any regular season statistic except for minutes played. He shot 41% in the playoffs. He led the league in some volume playoff stats only because his team played in 20 games that postseason. In fact, he even played worse in the postseason than in the regular season, which happened to be an abnormally below average season for his standards.
So who do you think was the best player that year? Dirk, Wade, Duncan, Nash, or Garnett?

Dirk was better than Lebron that season.
Not sure who my number one was for sure because it would just be looking at stats. Dirk was a fricking beast. I thought Kobe and Garnett also had a claim at the top player that season.

That was probably Steve Nash's best season, but he wasn't getting the MVP three tiimes in a row....even though he almost did. Dirk barely beat him in the voting.
Wade only played 50 games that year, but for those 50 games, he might have been the best player in the league. He had the best PER.

I could never vote for Wade in that season. For 32 games, I had the same stats as Wade. His injuries are my biggest knock on him.

if you are only looking at PER (which is pretty fricking stupid to look at just one stat, no matter how comprehensive - one true number stats are misapplied).
Hold on, hold on hold on, I didn't mention PER. The first mention of PER was here:
quote:
Lebron's PER in 2005-2006 was 28.1. Kobe's PER in the same season was 28.0. That difference is far too small to say pretty clearly. Come on shel
Then I replied based on this, then you replied bashing using ONLY PER.
You lost me on this one.
ETA: That's not to mention the post you reference was me talking about the 2005 season.

I thought Kobe was better up until 2006-2007 for sure IMO. If you look at that season, Kobe has a higher PER, TS%, and WS/48
He's had a better PER every year since 2004-2005 with the exception of one season, like you said.
But like I said, you can certainly make the debate for earlier. The deal with the only "realistic" answer being 2007 or 2008 or whatever you said, meh.

Also....I've been disappointed with LeBron these playoffs

I love watching aggressive players. Even though they could be more inconsistent and even less inefficient, guys like Westbrook and Kobe are fun as shite to watch IMO
Lebron is one of the most aggressive offensive players in the league. He just facilitates more out of that as opposed to shooting more when being aggressive.
