Don't feel like researching but I think it's fair to say this statistically untrue.

I know he pleaded guilty and is a registered sex offender...good grief I cant believe you are defending this
Were you there in court? Have you seen (1) the investigative report or (2) any trial transcript? An 18 year old man can have sex with a woman one day before her 18th birthday and end up a registered sex offender for it. So, unless you know some facts that we don't or believe completely what is printed in contemporary newspapers [Sorry, I don't], you are jumping to some very inappropriate conclusions.
This dumb mother fricker.

And if he weren't an athlete or if he sucked then this OSU fan wouldn't be defending him at all. Cuts both ways

The Oregon St people on their message board calling this a "mistake" pisses me off. It wasn't a "mistake" and you don't learn from it like you would a mistake. The guy is fricked up in the head to do this. Not just something that goes away.

Sounds like the kid should have went to pedo state

I think the worst part is his family siding with him and shunning their relative all because of his MLB prospects.

Even some posters on the Rant are defending it as "juvenile stuff."

He went undrafted out of high school so either his MLB prospects weren't that good or MLB teams knew about this incident when he was coming out of high school
Whatever their reason is for shunning the victim is inexcusable

I don't get how those people are defending him

There are Sandusky truthers out there. I'll believe that people will believe whatever they want to believe
Posted on 6/8/17 at 5:07 pm to wildtigercat93
Dude, there are still people who think the Sandy Hook shooting was fake. You can't reason with them.

I really think the institution should not play this weekend... Either they had to know, or they didn't do enough to check
Posted on 6/8/17 at 5:11 pm to wildtigercat93
That or they are like this kid and Sandusky and joe pa

doing time is better than registration. think about that
yeah, and that's the point. sexual predators aren't necessarily rehabilitated nor can many ever be, regardless of incarceration. the sex offender registry is a safeguard and a necessary one

That only really punishes the kids that play on the team and have nothing to do with it. Fire anyone who knew, take away any money they will make off of the teams appearance in the tournament, and kick the kid off the squad

happened to La'el Collins and he was only questioned by police about a murder he had nothing to do with, but yeah, pretty crazy

ESPN is going to have a field day for this if they make it to Omaha, the coverage will be off the charts. As long as they go the more they will talk about it.
No way I would play him if I'm Oregon St - they actually still have a ton of pitching without him.
It's not worth the negative press that's coming.
What's lost in all of this is there is a zero percent chance Oregon St was unaware of this when they signed him. I'm sure Oregon St is going to play a lot of PR games to mitigate the situation but they don't deserve a pass by simply sitting him from here on out.

I love how there isn't a single SOB that seems to give a shite about the victim, unless they're hiding behind her to criticize the story being published. I'd like to think I'd be better than that if this was about Lange.
