re: Are the Dolphins gonna finally get rid of Tua? I hope so he can go to a decent franchise.

He’s very injury prone. He really needs a top 3 OL to be successful.
His last concussion was due to him running the ball up the middle and putting his head directly into a defender

there aren't many good O-linemen in the NFL
I think it's a position more than any other, particularly tackle, that has gotten exponentially harder to play in the last 20 years.
Edge rushers today are the freaks in a league full of freaks. It seems like every team has a guy running a 4.5 at 250+ pounds. That's really hard for a 320 pounder to stay in front of. Nolan Smith got all kinds of pressure last night, and why wouldn't he? He ran a 4.39 40 yard dash

Their OL is horrendous
Yeah, not sure how anyone could look at that line and even pretend they're some elite unit.

All poor Tua had in Miami was a top 3 RB room, top 3 WR room, and a top 5 TE room :/ As well as an offensive minded head coach that created an offense to mask all of his deficiencies and showcase the speed they have on the roster (Fastest offense in the NFL).
You forgot one thing. 31st ranked OL in the league. Not to mention a hospital ward DL. They have one of the most poorly constructed rosters in the league.

These stats are a little disingenuous without the context of average time to throw. It’s a timing offense. From what I saw of them on redzone throughout the season it seemed like a lot of their passes were out of his hand within 2 seconds of receiving the snap.

In 2024, Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins had the quickest average release time among quarterbacks at 2.28 seconds. Second was 2.63 sec and the average was 3.24.

The Dolphins allowed the second least pressure% in the NFL, had the best sack to pressure rate in the NFL, and were blitzed the least in the NFL.
Tua also had the shortest time to throw in the NFL. He gets the ball out quicker than anyone in the NFL, and has to, because that oline was absolute dogwater. Especially with the injuries they had all year. Armstead is a good player, he just can't stay on the field, ever.

Tua has good things and bad things about him.
Bad? Injury prone, very. Good, not great arm strength. Doesn’t seem to try to avoid contact at times, hence the injuries.
Good? Accurate. Fits well in what Miami wants to do on offense. Surrounded by speed, speed and more speed. Reads a defense well. Is surrounded by weapons, not just speed.

Not a bad thing or anything, but Miami has a lot of speed at the skill position and they use it well. They space the offense well. They create mismatches.
