A guy I went to HS with played football for BYU. He was Mormon, but suffice to say Louisiana Mormons are not as hard-core as Utah Mormons. It was a big culture shock for him.

Utah Mormons seem to be fairly normal people in my experience. Colorado Mormons are some nutjob prepper lunatics. Almost Amish-like but armed to the teeth. Be wary of that whole full beard with no moustache look. Leading indicator of crazy.
