Haha. You wrong. He gone.

This is exactly like the Saban to Texas with the wishful thinkers (mostly Saints fan) carving up every angle to justify Goodell's dismissal.
I'd love to see him gone too, for the record... But this is not how he goes out IMO.

NFL: "We have no knowledge of this. We are not aware of anyone in our office who possessed or saw the video before it was made public on Monday. We will look into it."

Every single admonishment he applied to Sean Payton should apply to him. every Damn one. Mr Benson should Al Davis the whole lot of greedy , spineless, ethics-less group of owners. He should get a lawyer, call a press conference and say FIRE HiS arse or I'm coming and it won't be nice.

"to my knowledge"

Hugo, I usually like your post but you are wrong here. He is done, this story isnt going anywhere. Week 2 won't be more interesting than this story. Reporters are just going to keep digging.
Edit: very much not saints fan

watching ESPN, i like how they go over the video and say that he spit on her twice, yet she never wiped her face or anything or made any reaction most people woudl to getting spitting on. Maybe she was really drunk and he did do it.
Then they say she waves his hand by his face after the first spit. Most poeple call that hitting someone in the face.
Not saying i'm ok with what went on, just stupid how ESPN spins this video that way.

Yeah I think they need a little more than this.
I don't care either way but people are getting their hopes up a little soon.
If more is coming then he could be in deep shite.

Negative PR will be relentless and increasing until he goes.
And they won't.

What I can't get over is Goodell has such a rep for being a hard-arse on players who do wrong...and he's willing to look the other way about a better-than-average running back decking a woman.
It doesn't make any sense. I can't imagine Goodell thinks domestic violence is no big deal.

If he knew and he is not fired then the owners have no integrity. The worst thing he could have done is plead ignorance and suspend Ray Rice for a year when he knew the circumstances of the incident as far back as April. But hey...the man was protecting his product. He should get points from the NFL owners for that, shouldn't he?
